Planning a journey to Albania? Here’s what you need to know about the Albania visa requirements for citizens from the United Arab Emirates.
Do UAE citizens require an Albanian visa?
No.
If you're a UAE citizen with plans to visit Albania for up to 90 days as a tourist, you don’t need to apply for an Albanian visa.
Similarities with the Schengen Zone
Although Albania is not a part of the Schengen Zone or the European Union, it has adopted a visa policy similar to the Schengen Area. This means that eligible citizens, like UAE nationals, may enter Albania without a visa for up to 90 days every 180 days.
How to get an Albanian visa from the United Arab Emirates
If you wish to stay in Albania for more than 90 days within 180 days, you’ll need to apply for an Albanian long-stay visa. Although iVisa does not currently handle visa applications for Albania, you can apply through the official government website.
-
Step 1: Visit the Albania visa portal and complete the online application form.
-
Step 2: Upload the required documents for the visa type you’re applying for (eVisa or stamped visa).
-
Step 3: Once you’re done, apply. You’ll then receive a confirmation email and application tracking number, which you can use to check the status of your application during processing.
When the Albanian authorities have successfully reviewed your application, you will receive instructions on how to pay the visa fees. Once the visa application is approved, you will receive an email with the approved eVisa or instructions on picking up your passport with your stamped visa.
