Does everyone require an Azerbaijani visa?

All passport holders must have an e-visa, regardless of age. Also, parents must complete this application form for their children.

In addition, if the minor is not traveling with their parents, a notarized and signed letter must be included in order to authorize travel.

When is the best time to travel to Azerbaijan?

The best time to travel to Azerbaijan is from May to October. This is when temperatures are more pleasant for everyone since the weather is warm, and you can walk around the attractions without any problem. Still, everything will depend on the activity you want to do.

For example, there are numerous indoor and outdoor climbing walls for sports tourism, or you can go quad biking out of the large hotel complexes in Qabala. For this reason, tourists would preferably travel between May and October for outdoor activities.

On the other hand, if you want to go and see the Caspian Sea, the largest salt lake in the world, or the famous Nabran coast, we recommend traveling between June and September so that you can make excursions such as boating, fishing, or diving.

Finally, if you want to be more cultural and adventurous, you can discover the incredible Gobustan caves. These extraordinary caves were inhabited by hunters and farmers of the Stone Age and are decorated with engravings. Enjoy a fascinating guided tour between May and October to enjoy the attractions during warm weather.

COVID-19 Restrictions in the country: What should I know before traveling?

Upon arrival in the country, all travelers must undergo a health examination that usually includes temperature monitoring and a visual assessment. Persons showing symptoms of COVID-19 may require further testing and may even be refused entry.

Travelers over 18 years old who are fully vaccinated do not have to be tested for COVID-19 or quarantined. To be considered fully vaccinated, the second dose of vaccine must have been administered at least 14 days before travel.

Additionally, travelers over 18 are required to have COVID-19 passports (or a document confirming complete vaccination against COVID-19 or immunity to COVID-19) to enter catering establishments, shopping centers, hotels, cinemas, and theaters, regardless of citizenship. Only COVID-19 passports are accepted in this country. A PCR test is no longer required for entry. Finally, there are no quarantine requirements for Azerbaijan. However, this information is always subject to change by the Azerbaijani government, so we recommend keeping up to date with the data.
