Azerbaijan joined the digital visa system last January 2017. It is called the ASAN system. New Zealand and 92 other nationalities can now apply for iVisa online. Negotiations with Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates are ongoing. Slowly, more and more nationalities have access to an Azerbaijan electronic visa.
To check your admissibility for an Azerbaijan evisa, you may simply use the Visa Checker. This is provided by iVisa for your convenience. You can enter New Zealand as your nationality and Azerbaijan as your destination, and the information will pull up right away. If you are eligible, you will be led to a page where you can apply. It is as simple as that.
Before you apply, we recommend that you gather all the documents you are required to submit. This is a short list, and chances are you already have everything you need.
Valid passport – you need a passport when you travel abroad. If you already have one, it is required that it is valid and remains so for at least another three months from the departure date to Azerbaijan.
Digital copy of your passport – a scanned copy of your passport is required before filling in the application form. It is recommended that you upload it before you can submit your application. While the information page is the most vital, scan the entire passport.
Valid e-mail address –the evisa will be linked to your passport electronically, you will also be asked to show a printed copy of your evisa at the immigration office. To be sure, print more than a few copies and place them in different bags. That way, you can be sure you are not going to lose your visa.
When the documents are prepared, you may now fill in the application form. It is very easy to understand, but when you need assistance, an excellent customer service is available 24/7.
The form is divided into three easy steps. First step will need you to fill in your general information like name, address, email, passport info, and so on. At this time, you will also be needed to choose processing time. Bear in mind that your choice will determine the service fee. iVisa provides three excellent choices:
Standard processing time – this is the cheapest and most commonly used option. For only $45, it takes four business days to process. It is advisable that you apply 6 days before departure because while delays almost never happen, it is best to be on the safer side. The ‘2 days in advance’ rule applies to all processing times.
Rush processing time – For $75, you will get your Visa within 2 business days.
The succeeding step involves revision and payment. Travelling New Zealand needs to insert your data accurately and cautiously to avoid misunderstanding or loss of your document. The last step will ask you to upload further information and answer a few personal questions. As for the former action, not everyone needs to upload the same file. For example, if you travel with your minor child and without the other parent, you will need an authorization letter from the said parent. Then, you hit submit and wait for the visa to arrive in your email inbox.
The document you receive will allow New Zealand to stay in Azerbaijan for maximum 30 days. However, if you stay longer than 10 days, you need to register with the State Migration Service. Hotels will gladly provide such service for you, and so do business hosts.
