According to Cuba’s visa policy, the citizens of Thailand are eligible for a Tourist Card, which means that you are not required to go to a Cuban diplomatic mission to obtain a visa for Cuba. Instead, you can apply online for a Cuba Tourist Card. That makes the process a lot easier for you because all you have to do is use iVisa and enjoy an online application process. iVisa will handle the bureaucracy, and you can get your Cuba Tourist Card in as little as 1 business day.

What are the requirements?

iVisa will ask very little of you during the application process. You do not have to upload any documents. All you need is a passport and to fill in a personal and travel information form. However, when you get to Cuba, you will be asked to provide the following documents at immigration:

  • Valid passport – the document needs to keep its validity for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Cuba. If it does not, you need to apply for a renewal.

  • Tourist Card – this is the document you will receive from iVisa via postal mail.

  • A flight itinerary both to and from Cuba.

  • Travel insurance – this is a rule that was introduced back in 2010. If you do not have travel insurance, you have the option to purchase a policy before your departure, as well as when you arrive in Cuba.

If you travel with your children, you should also be aware that Cuba does not allow children to cross the border on your documents. You need to apply for as many Tourist Cards as the number of minors that accompany you.
