IMPORTANT NOTE: CURRENTLY WE DO NOT OFFER THIS VISA. STAY TUNED, BECAUSE IT WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON.

Every country has its own visa policy, and most of them are very different. When it comes to Cuba, you may find some things that you had never experienced when you visited other countries. One of them is the Cuba visa stamp. You may have noticed that a visit to other countries implied a visa stamp on your passport, but this is not valid for Cuba. Your passport will not get stamped upon entry. Only the Tourist Card will receive a Cuba visa stamp, but you need to keep it in your passport at all times.

How do I get a Cuba Tourist Card?

To obtain a Cuba Tourist Card, you need to be eligible for it. You can find that out using iVisa’s Tool Checker. Insert your nationality and choose Cuba as your destination. If you qualify for such a document, you will be able to apply right there and then.

The requirements for a Cuba Tourist Card are accessible. You only need a passport, and when you apply online, you will be required to fill in a personal and travel information form. However, when you arrive in Cuba, you are required to provide the following documents:

  • Valid passport – the passport you have needs to be valid for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Cuba. If it is not, you need to apply for a renewal.

  • Tourist Card – this is the same as a Cuba visa that iVisa will send to you via postal mail.

  • A flight itinerary both to and from Cuba.

  • Travel insurance – this is a rule that began to take effect back in 2010. If you do not have travel insurance, you need to purchase one once you arrive in Cuba.

Keep in mind that minors cannot travel on their parents’ documents. Every child needs his or her own Tourist Card.

The application form

The application form is quite straightforward. iVisa has designed a 2-step application process that you can complete in 10 minutes or less. In case you need help, you can refer to iVisa’s support service, which is available 24/7.

  1. The first step consists of the personal and travel information form mentioned above. You must also select a visa type and processing time. Keep in mind that both of them affect the cost of your Tourist Card. The former should be easy to decide. US citizens must choose the USA Tourist Card, while all the other nationalities must select the International Tourist Card. The processing time, on the other hand, does not discriminate, and you can choose the one that you think is best. Here are your options:

    • Standard processing time – your application will be processed and your Tourist card delivered in 3 to 5 business days. This option costs $55.

    • Rush processing time – your Tourist card will arrive within 1 to 3 business days, and the fee is $75.

    • Super Rush processing time – you will have your Cuba Tourist card in 1 business day, and you will be charged $95. The shipping is included in the price in all three cases.

The fees expressed above apply to the International Tourist Card. For the USA Tourist Card, you will be charged $110, $130, and $150 respectively.

  2. The second step will ask you to revise step one and make the payment. The revision is important because you cannot correct any errors after your application is processed. As for the payment, you can do it using one of the multiple available means accepted by iVisa. iVisa takes credit/debit cards and Paypal.

The bottom line is that no, you will not receive a Cuba visa stamp on your passport, but you will get one on your Cuba Tourist Card. The latter is easy to obtain with iVisa’s help. The online application form is very easy to go through, and your overall effort is close to none.
