If you are from Australia and you want to go to Egypt on vacation, there is good news for you. Egypt has allowed the citizens of 46 countries to get an electronic visa, and Australia is one of them. That means you do not have to go to the Egyptian embassy and apply for a visa. Instead, you get to apply from home.

What are the requirements?

Before moving on to the application form, you need to provide a few things for iVisa. Otherwise, they cannot help you get your document as soon as possible. Here is a list of everything you need to have at hand:

  • A valid passport –If you already have a passport, make sure that it is valid and will remain so at least for another six months from your date of arrival in Egypt. Otherwise, your visa application will be denied.

  • A scan of the information page of your passport – you will be required to upload it in step three of the application form.

  • Complete a personal questionnaire – step three of the application form will also require you to answer a set of personal questions. It should take about 5 minutes of your time.

  • Means of payment – since you are required to make the payment before you submit your application (step two of the application,) you need to have a credit or debit card ready. If you have a Paypal account, you should know that iVisa accepts that as well.

Processing Time and Fees

iVisa takes pride in its work, which is why they try to satisfy the needs of every applicant. That is why they provide three processing times. Keep in mind that your choice affects the cost of your Egypt evisa. Here are your options:

  1. Standard processing time – when you select this option, you Egypt e-visa will arrive via e-mail within 6 days. This is the cheapest processing time you have. It costs only USD 55.00.

  2. Rush processing time – this option will shorten the application processing time by 4 days. Your application will be processed within four business days. You will be charged USD 85.00 in total.

  3. Super Rush processing time – if you have an emergency and need to be on a plane to Egypt as fast as possible, this is the option for you. Your application will be processed within 48 hours. As you may have guessed, the price goes higher as well. You will be charged USD 120.00.

The fees above apply for the 90-day single-entry Egypt eVisa. The price can vary for the multiple-entry version.

The Application Form

The online form is broken down into three steps. Step number one will ask you to fill in your personal information, select the visa type (single or multiple entries,) and the processing time. The second step consists of a simple revision and payment, and the last step will require you to complete the personal questionnaire and upload additional documents. The whole thing should last 20 minutes, and if you are in need of assistance, iVisa has a 24/7 support service.

It is easy to see that the Egypt visa for Australian citizens is easy to obtain. The process does not last long, it is highly efficient, and it does not cost very much. It does not get any better than that.
