Starting December 2017, Egypt has agreed to the release of electronic visas for the citizens of 46 countries, which include the European Union. Since Estonia is a state member since 2004, that means an Egypt visa for Estonian citizens is accessible. It also means that if you are Estonian, next time you want to take a trip to Egypt, you are no longer required to go to the embassy and get a consular visa. All you need to do is apply online and wait for your visa to arrive via e-mail. All that is made possible by iVisa.
Although iVisa is the one that will do all the heavy lifting, you still need to provide a few things. There is nothing out of the ordinary, and it is entirely possible that you already have access to everything that you are required to have. Here is a list of what you need to provide/do:
A valid passport – if you do not have a passport, you can get one easily. If you have one, make sure that it is valid and will remain as such at least for another six months from your date of arrival in Egypt. Otherwise, you will not be granted your evisa.
A scan of the information page of your passport – you will be required to upload it in step three of the application form.
Complete a personal questionnaire – step three of the application form will also require you to answer a set of personal questions. It is nothing out of the ordinary. They just want to know the reasons for your travels and such. It should take about 5 minutes of your time.
Means of payment – since you are required to make the payment before you submit your application (step two of the application,) you need to have a credit or debit card ready. If you have a Paypal account, you should know that iVisa accepts that as well.
The cost of an Egypt visa for Estonian citizens depends on two things: processing time and visa type. As for the former, iVisa provides three choices:
Standard processing time – when you select this option, you Egypt e-visa will arrive via e-mail within 5 business days. This is the cheapest processing time you have at hand. It costs only $50. $25 is the price of the visa itself, and the other half goes to iVisa as a service fee.
Rush processing time – this option will shorten the application processing time by one day. Your application will be processed within four business days, and you will be charged $80.
When you choose the visa type, you choose between a single-entry visa and a multiple-entry visa. The prices for the former are mentioned above, and the fees for the latter are $35 higher for each processing time.
As you can see, getting an Egypt visa for Estonian citizens is extremely simple. There is no trip to the embassy, no hassle, and the fees are more than reasonable. All you need to do is fill in a form and iVisa will do the rest.
