Egypt has launched a program that allows the citizens of 46 countries to apply online for their visas. Since Ireland is one of them, an Egypt visa for Irish citizens is now accessible, which means that Irish people who want to go to Egypt on vacation are no longer required to go to Egypt’s embassy to get their documents. Instead, they can apply online with minimal effort. iVisa will help you with the whole process if you want to apply, and you should be done with the process in 20 minutes.
iVisa will do all the hard work, but that does not mean you do not have to help. There are a few requirements you need to meet, but there is nothing out of the ordinary. Here is what you need to provide:
A valid passport – if you do not have a passport, you can get one pretty fast. If you have one, make sure that it is valid and will remain as such at least for another six months from your date of arrival in Egypt. Otherwise, your visa application will be denied.
A scan of the information page of your passport – you will be required to upload it in step three of the application form.
Complete a personal questionnaire – step three of the application form will also require you to answer a set of personal questions. It is nothing out of the ordinary. They just want to know the reasons for your travels and such. It should take about 5 minutes of your time.
Means of payment – since you are required to make the payment before you submit your application (step two of the application,) you need to have a credit or debit card ready. If you have a Paypal account, you should know that iVisa accepts that as well.
The application form designed by iVisa is pretty straightforward. There are three steps that you need to complete, and if you need any help, you can call iVisa’s support service 24/7. The first step will require you to insert your personal information, choose the visa type and the processing time. As far as the latter is concerned, you have three options:
Standard processing time – when you select this option, you Egypt e-visa will arrive via e-mail within 5 business days. This is the cheapest processing time you have at hand. It costs only $50. $25 is the price of the visa itself, and the other half goes to iVisa as a service fee.
Rush processing time – this option will shorten the application processing time by one day. Your application will be processed within four business days, and you will be charged $80.
The visa type depends on your needs. If you need to enter Egypt just once, a single-entry visa is enough. If you need multiple entries, you have that option, but you need to pay an extra $35.
The second step will ask you to make a revision of step one and make the payment. Step three consists of additional documents upload and personal questions. Once you are done, you submit your application and the Egypt evisa will arrive in the timeframe of your choosing. Pretty simple, isn’t it?
