If Latvians want to travel to Kuwait, they are no longer required to visit the embassy to get a tourism or business visa. At this time, more than 50 nationalities including Latvians can apply through the internet, all thanks to iVisa. You will receive the evisa via email within 12 hours. Before Latvians could apply, they need to check first if they are qualified. It can be done through iVisa’s website, by clicking on the Visa Checker tool and following the instructions, and the result will be shown in seconds. You can apply right away once you are eligible.
iVisa will request some information and documentation to help them get started in processing your application. Here is a list of requirements for Latvians:
Valid passport – chances are you already have one. Please do check its expiry date to make sure that is still valid.
Digital copy of your passport – the most important part is the information page, but you should go ahead and scan the entire booklet.
Valid e-mail address – electronic visas are linked to passports electronically, and so will the visa provided by iVisa. Still, you need to print out a copy before departure, which is why iVisa will send you one via e-mail in PDF format.
GCC residence card – this applies only to applicants from the other countries that are a part of Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.) At the same time, the applicants from the GCC must work in specific fields. You can find all of them on iVisa’s website.
iVisa uses an online form so there is no need for Latvians to print out and fill in the form by hand. In just 10 minutes, you can complete everything. Aside from that, iVisa has a superb customer support that can take your call anytime and if you need any help with completing the steps
The first step is all about entering your personal information just like the usual forms. In here, you will also need to select the processing time to determine how much time it will take for you to receive your visa. The fee is higher if you want it faster. As for that, iVisa gives you three selections:
Standard processing – if you are in no hurry, you can go for this option. It takes three business days for your application to be processed for just $20.
Rush processing– for $60, this option will have your visa ready in just 2 business days.
Please take note that Kuwait’s weekend is different from most countries. Their weekends are on Fridays and Saturdays, so Latvians should take that into consideration when applying.
You need to review all the information and make the payment in step two. It is crucial to fill in the form as accurately as possible. Corrections are impossible to make after your application is processed.
The third phase is uploading some documents like the ones mentioned. As case to case basis, Latvians may be asked to provide additional documents.
As you can see, getting a Kuwait evisa is super easy. The document is valid for only 30 days, so you need to leave for Kuwait before the 30-day period expires. Also, Latvians are allowed to stay in Kuwait for maximum 90 days and have a single entry.
