Kyrgyzstan is a mountainous Central Asian country placed on the Silk Road, the ancient trade route between China and the Mediterranean. The Tian Shan Mountains, which surround the ancient train route and dominate the country, are home to beautiful snow leopards, lynxes, and numerous sheep. In the south, the ancient city of Osh has an enormous and active public market that was once a stop on the Silk Road.

By the way, this place is very popular for having a 12-meter high statue of Buddha in nirvana. It is made of molded clay, and it was found during archaeological excavations in parts of Nevaket, the medieval city of Krasnorechensk. This amazing statue was later given to the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.

As for places we recommend, you cannot miss the Swastika forest. It is located on a hillside near the village of Tash-Bashat (40 km from the town of Naryn). This forest plantation of conifers is 180 meters wide in the form of a reverse swastika. There is no known explanation for how it appeared, although it's thought that the leader who oversaw the tree planting work was an alleged Hitler sympathizer. It might be something a bit creepy or strange, but it is still fascinating for many tourists.
