Macedonia, officially called the Republic of Macedonia, is a Balkan nation in the true sense of the word. The country hides many cultural and ethnic treasures, but it also holds ancient Greek ruins and natural treasures. The country has mountains, lakes, rivers, and whatever else makes a location worthy of visitors. Tourists usually fall in love with the idyllic small villages. The locals are typically friendly, and the food is fantastic. At the same time, the culture is a mix of Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, and Mediterranean influences, which makes this small country even more appealing.

Before taking a trip to Macedonia, you need to make sure that you have the proper documentation to cross its borders. Lucky for you, Macedonia has a pretty lenient visa policy, and it allows many travelers to enter without a visa. The visa policy of Macedonia is similar to the Schengen Area visa policy, except for a few differences. For one thing, not all nationalities from Annex II of the Schengen visa policy can enter Macedonia. However, some nations were recently added. As for the allowed period of stay, it varies from 30 to 90 days, depending on the nationality.

If you want to see where you stand as far as the visa for Macedonia is concerned, you can take a look yourself at its visa policy. On the other hand, there is a simpler and less time-consuming method. You can use iVisa’s Visa Checker. You can use the button from the top right corner to access it. Once you open it, you must select your country of origin in the left drag-down menu, and put Macedonia in the right drag-down menu. The result will tell you whether or not you need a visa, and if you do, you will be provided with a list of embassies whose services you can use.

iVisa does not process Macedonia visa applications because electronic visas are not yet available. We do, however, want to help you with anything else, which is why our support service is at your disposal 24/7 and is free of charge.

If you find out that you must go to the Macedonian embassy to apply for a consular visa, you must make sure that you meet the requirements. You can read online to learn what they are, but we recommend that you use the information you find on the internet as a reference only. An embassy or a diplomatic mission is a far more reliable source of information than the internet. Nevertheless, what we can tell you is that all applicants are required to have a valid passport that does not expire for another 3 months from the date of arrival.

We regret that we cannot help you any further with your Macedonia visa application process, but we are hopeful that the information provided above helps you move in the right direction. If you have any more questions about the process, do not hesitate to contact us.
