Malawi Visa at the Border

Malawi Visa at the Border

iVisa | Updated on Jan 21, 2020

Traveling to Malawi for most people includes applying for a visa. While you can apply for a visa at the border, you should apply for an e-visa prior to arriving at a port of entry. Arriving at the border without an already approved visa is risky because not much information is given about visas-on-arrival and any information that is given is inconsistent. There is no guarantee that you will be eligible to apply for a visa when you arrive at the border.

The Malawi e-visa can be completed online, and you can present it on your phone, laptop, tablet, etc. It is recommended that you also bring a paper copy of your e-visa in addition to your electronic copy. This ensures that you will have access to your e-visa even if your device(s) does not cooperate.

You can find out more information about the Malawi e-Visa in our FAQ section below. Want to start the application? Click here.
