What are the requirements?

As mentioned above, you must be an Indian or a Chinese citizen to qualify for an ENTRI. Citizens of Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR are excluded. Before you start filling in the application form, you need to make sure that you have the following:

  • Valid passport – all applicants must hold a valid passport that maintains its validity for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Malaysia.

  • Passport-sized photo – it needs to be as recent as possible. Preferably in the last 6 months.

  • E-mail address – iVisa sends you the ENTRI note via e-mail in PDF format. Do not forget to print it out before your departure.

  • Means of payment – you will be asked to make the payment during the online application process. You can use a credit or debit card, but iVisa accepts PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat as well.

At the same time, the list below contains all the documents you need when you reach Malaysia:

  • The ENTRI note

  • Boarding pass

  • Flight tickets to and from Malaysia – the flight can be direct or through Singapore, Thailand, and Brunei only.

  • Proof of accommodation – a hotel confirmation will suffice

  • Means of sustenance – you can present cash, credit cards, bank statements, etc.

  • Complete travel itinerary

The application form

Filling in an application form is easy when you apply with iVisa. That is because the form is short and straightforward. You should not spend more than 20 minutes completing it, and if you need help, iVisa has an excellent support service that can help you. The service is available 24/7 and is free of charge.

The form you must complete to get a Malaysia ENTRI online has three simple steps. The first one requires you to provide your basic information, some passport info, and a few details about your trip. You are also asked to select a processing time for your application. Bear in mind that what you choose determines how fast your ENTRI arrives and how much you must pay for it. You are given three options:

  • Standard – the slowest processing time option ensures that your Malaysia ENTRI arrives within 24 hours and costs $56.50.

  • Rush – this time, you will be charged $86.50, but your application is processed within 12 hours.

  • Super Rush – this is the fastest option you can choose. Your application form is processed within just 4 hours, but you will be charged $106.50.

The next step consists of payment and revision. You must ensure that your application form does not contain any typos or other errors that can render your ENTRI invalid. Read your form a few times before moving on.

The third and last step requires you to upload supporting documents for your application. For example, you need to upload a scan of your passport’s information page. When you are done, just submit your application and you are done. iVisa takes it from there.

As you can see, it is pretty simple to get a Malaysia ENTRI online. The document is valid for 30 days, you can use it for a single entry, and you cannot stay in Malaysia for more than 15 days. Also, keep in mind that a cooling period of 3 months is required between applications. You cannot apply for more than one Malaysia ENTRI every three months.
