Learn More: Travel Declaration Form

The Malta Travel Declaration Forms were designed to allow visitors from over 20 nations to enter the country without an isolation period amid the coronavirus pandemic.

All international tourists traveling to Malta are required by the Superintendent of Public Health to complete a Public Health Declaration Form and a Passenger Locator Form. Once you do, you’ll hand the forms over to the Aircraft Crew or drop them within the available deposit boxes at the Terminal Temperature Screening Points exit once you get to Malta.

If you’re traveling from Bulgaria, Romania, or Spain, you’ll be required to submit a negative Covid-19 PCR test result before boarding. If you don’t, you’ll be asked to self-quarantine in Malta upon arrival.

The information you provide within the Malta Travel Declaration Forms will allow Public Health Authorities to get in touch with you and other traveling guests quickly if the need arises. It’s important for all travelers to adhere to the country’s COVID-19 safety protocols.

To obtain these travel documents, you’ll need to provide information about your health status and about your stay in Malta. It’s required to have a confirmed flight ticket to complete the forms.

Once you fill out your application, we’ll email the documents before your trip, so you can display them to the immigration officers once you arrive at the airport.

A famous Mediterranean country that has the Church of St. George, a lot of megalithic sites, a beautiful Blue Lagoon, and refreshing beaches is Malta. In Malta, you'll explore more than 7000 years of history, but you’ll also be able to live in a lot of modern and interesting spots. In this place, you’ll be able to appreciate an astonishing array of things. Wherever you go, the Islands' scenery and architecture offer a magnificent backdrop. The colors in the architecture are striking, and the honey-colored stones are also a beautiful example of the things you can enjoy with pleasure. Keep in mind that to visit this country, you might need the Malta Public Health Passenger Locator Form among your passport, so be sure to apply for it before planning your trip. The Maltese Islands are often described as one open-air gallery. What makes them so different is that part of their past is visible today with a lot of examples in architecture and art. You can delve into these islands without remorse and enjoy mysterious prehistory, or even retrace the footsteps of St. Paul. There’s no way to get bored in Malta, you have a long list of things to do. First of all, we cannot talk about Malta without mentioning its capital, Valletta (or Il-Belt Valletta in Maltese). This small walled city is located on a peninsula and it was founded in the 16th century by the Knights of Saint John, a Roman Catholic order. It’s very famous for its museums, palaces, and large churches. The baroque references for this place can be appreciated in works such as the Co-Cathedral of San Juan. In this cathedral, you can enjoy its opulent interior, which is home to Caravaggio's masterpiece "The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist". In the capital, you can also visit Fort St. Elmo, a stockade that is the current police academy. You can visit it on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. and it is a must if you love history and you want to learn about the culture of the place. You can also explore St. Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral, a beautiful place to visit, not only for its fantastic construction but for its majesty, especially with the huge dome. In addition, from the top of its towers, you can appreciate beautiful views of the city. This church was the first Protestant building to be made on the island after the British conquest. The Palace of the Grand Master is another building that you cannot miss. It currently houses the Presidency of the Republic of Malta and until 2015 was the seat of the House of Representatives. It’s a heritage site managed by Heritage Malta and it was also one of the first buildings in Valletta, erected in 1571. The original building was the home of Eustaquio del Monte, a nephew of the great master Jean de la Vallette, who is the founder of the city. Aside from the representative constructions of Valletta, you cannot forget to visit The Hypogeum of Hal Saflieni. This is the only known prehistoric underground temple; it’s said that it was excavated around 2500 BC. C. Many specialists declared that its first function was that of a sanctuary and that the locals turned it into a necropolis. You can find it at the end of the municipality of Paola, in the southeast of the island. It was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1980. Another interesting place that is usually quite visited in Malta is Hagar Qim. This is a megalithic temple dating from the Ġgantija period, located on top of a hill in southern Malta and 2 km southwest of the village of Qrendi. The area surrounding this temple has been declared a Heritage Park. Keep in mind that in 1992, Unesco declared Hagar Qim a World Heritage Site. You should know that Malta has great historical value for having a benchmark of the Roman Empire centuries ago. An example of this is the Grand Harbour, which can be located in La Valeta. This place has been used as a port since the Roman era and that’s why many guides can offer you visits with interesting historical data. The original natural harbor has been extensively improved with numerous piers and has been massively fortified. But if what you are looking for is to appreciate the beauty of the waters of Malta, especially because it’s part of the Mediterranean Sea, then take into account the following places: Comino, a small island in the Maltese archipelago located between Malta and Gozo, in the Mediterranean Sea. The name derives from the abundance of the herbaceous plant Cuminum cyminum used since ancient times as a spice. It’s a place famous for its tranquility and isolation. As a curious fact, its stable population is only four people: a priest, and a policeman who take turns from the island of Gozo to serve the permanent population (yes, there are usually only two people) and tourists. The Azure Window, which is a rock formation with a 28-meter high natural limestone arch. This site is located on the island of Gozo, in Malta. It was knocked over by a strong swell, during a storm on March 8, 2017. This place is iconic in the country, and it works as a popular attraction for many people, especially because it was used in numerous films and tv shows, including the wedding between Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones. The Blue Lagoon is another must if you visit Malta. This is a bay located between the Comino and Cominotto islands. Its glass-clear waters and remote location make it one of the most attractive places in Malta. If you want to relax and enjoy nature calmly, this is the place for you. It can only be reached by boat, either from Malta or from Gozo. You can practice diving on it, and you should know that similar to Azure Window, this place has appeared in some productions as well. As you can see, Malta has a lot to offer. If you want to taste their food, we recommend you try the Pastizzi, the Imqaret, and the Maltese bread. The food in this place is a delight because it fuses part of the Italian gastronomy with other Mediterranean nations.
