A Montserrat eVisa is equivalent to a conventional visa, but no paper is inserted in your passport and there is no need for you to visit a British Consulate to submit an application. Montserrat Tourist eVisa is given by the Government of Montserrat for all Tourist Travelers.

Applications may be submitted by anyone outside Montserrat with a valid Passport and who wishes to receive a visitor or business visa to enter Montserrat. eVisas are valid for travel for 1 year from the date of issue and can be used for multiple entries during the period of validity.

The first step to apply for a Tourist eVisa is to fill out an easy online application. Once you have electronically submitted your application, you will receive the confirmation by email. Approximately 24 hours later you will have your eVisa approved and will be ready for your trip. Visitors with eVisas will be able to enter Montserrat via any authorized port of entry.

It’s hard to believe that this beautiful island is unheard of to most of the world’s population, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. This island nation is a British Overseas Territory and is in the Leeward islands. The Leeward islands, for your information, are part of the Lesser Antilles island chain, and together with other islands that were, at one point or another, a colony of the United Kingdom, known as the West Indies. The island of Montserrat is approximately 16 km long and 11 km wide, making it approximately 100 square km in size. With 40 km of beautiful, rugged coastline, Montserrat is often referred to as the “Emerald Isle of the Caribbean", as it reminded initial explorers of the Irish coast. Coincidentally, many of its initial settlers were Irish themselves, so when other nations traded with Montserrat, they were dealing with Irish descendants on a coastline that looked similar to Ireland. Due to its location, small size and small local population, Montserrat is one least visited tourist destinations in the region. The main town on the island, Plymouth, was build close to the island’s best natural harbor. It also happens to be very close to a formerly dormant, or inactive, volcano. About 20 years ago though, life on this island paradise changed forever. The Soufriere Hills Volcano began to erupt and is now considered active.
