Many countries in the world adopted the electronic visa system, so it comes as no surprise that New Zealand has one as well. Eligible nationalities can avoid going to an embassy. Instead, they can apply online from the comfort of their home. iVisa helps with the entire process so that you do not have to struggle with the hassle that is usually found at embassies.

Before learning about the online application process itself, you need to check whether or not you need to apply for a New Zealand visa. There are 60 visa waiver countries, which means that their citizens can stay in New Zealand without a visa for 3 months. British citizens are allowed 6 months. You can check your need for a visa using iVisa’s Visa Checker.

The requirements

If you want to apply for a New Zealand visa online, you will be happy to find out that the list of requirements is a bit shorter. You need to provide iVisa with a few documents and some information about yourself so that they can get the process started. Furthermore, there are a few things you need when you get to New Zealand as well. Here is what is required of you:

  • Valid passport – do not forget to make sure that the passport is valid for at least another 3 months from your date of departure from New Zealand.

  • Digital photo – the photo has to be as recent as possible and meet all the guidelines for a passport photo. For example, it needs to be taken against a white background.

  • Means of payment – iVisa asks that you make the payment while you complete the steps of the application form. You can do that using a credit or a debit card, but you can also pay using PayPal, WeChat, or Alipay.

  • E-mail address – iVisa sends you the visa via e-mail in PDF format. Do not forget to print a few copies so that you have a couple of spares.

  • Means of sustenance – once you arrive in New Zealand, you need to prove that you can provide for yourself during your trip. A bank account statement should be sufficient.

  • Return flight ticket – when you arrive at the airport, you may be required to show a return flight ticket to your country of origin (or another destination if you are in transit.) If you do not have one, you need to prove that you have the money to buy one.

  • Proof of good character – if you have a criminal record of any kind, you need to disclose it.

The application form

Once you check every item off that list, you can proceed to the application form. We are happy to let you know that iVisa created a straightforward form so that you do not spend more than 20 minutes completing it. But if you need some help with it or have some questions, the support service is available 24/7 and is free of charge.

The application form has three simple steps. The first one is about basic information about yourself and the trip, and you are required to select a processing time. The second step is about payment and revision, and the third asks you to upload some documents. When you are done, you submit your application, and iVisa takes it from there.

So, if you want to apply for a New Zealand visa online, you do not need much time and effort. iVisa does a wonderful job for you. Plus, you receive the same document you get at the embassy. Why put yourself through that stress if there is an easier way?
