iVisa | Updated on Jun 07, 2019

For citizens from over 60 different nationalities, the Oman government issues a special electronic visa that allows travelers to obtain a visa without having to approach any embassy or consulate. Indian passport holders are eligible for this specific type of visa only if they fulfill one additional requirement.

If you are an Indian citizen who wishes to apply online for an Oman e-visa, all you need to do is provide a valid residence permit issued by:

  • A Schengen country
  • The United States
  • The United Kingdom
  • Japan
  • Australia.

If you need to check your eligibility, we encourage you to use iVisa’s Visa Checker, but if you’re ready to fill out an application, here’s what you need to know.

IMPORTANT: If you do not have this document, you will need to go to the nearest embassy and apply there for your Oman paper visa.

What are the required documents?

To apply online for an Oman visa, you will need to gather a few things regarding your personal information and documentation to expedite the permit. Once you do that, we handle the rest! Here is what you need:

  • Passport – your passport needs to remain valid for at least another 6 months from your intended date of arrival in Oman. Otherwise, you risk having your application denied.

  • A passport scan – we only need the information page of your passport. Here you will find instructions on how to make the best passport scan for your application.

  • A digital photo of you – You can take it yourself! Just make sure that it meets the photo requirements. If you already have one that meets these requirements, it has to be no older than 6 months.

  • E-mail address – when applying with iVisa, your visa will be sent to you via e-mail, so make sure that you introduce a valid e-mail address you have access to.

  • Means of payment – iVisa accepts multiple methods of payment such as credit and debit cards or Paypal.

  • Valid visa or residence permit – Indian citizens require a valid visa or a residence permit issued by a Schengen country, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, or Australia.

What is the cost and how to apply?

The application form created by iVisa is pretty easy to fill. It will take you only a few minutes, and if you need assistance, iVisa provides an excellent support service that is available 24/7. There are three steps you need to complete:

  1. As previously stated, you will be required to give some personal information and details about your trip. Then, you need to select a visa type and a processing time according to the following:

    • Standard processing – your visa application is processed within 4 days, and the price is USD 82.00 (service fees included).

    • Rush processing – you will receive your visa within 48 hours, and the price is USD 112.00 (service fees included).

    • Super rush processing – this is the fastest option. You will get your Oman e-visa in only 24 hours, and you will be charged USD 142.00.

PLEASE NOTE: The prices above are for a Single Entry, 30-Day visa. iVisa offers other options for multiple entry visas and for GCC residents.

Finally, you need to select the period you will spend in Oman, and the number of entries depends on whether you have a valid visa for one of the countries mentioned above or a residence permit from a GCC country.

  2. Upon completing the first step of your application form, you will be asked for your payment information. Then, we encourage you to check all the given information. After you complete the steps, just hit the submit button and wait for the visa to arrive in your e-mail inbox within the timeframe you selected.

As you can see, getting an Oman visa for Indian citizens is not challenging to do. With iVisa, you can apply day or night, in your home, at the office or wherever you want! It cannot get any easier than that.
