For citizens from over 60 different nationalities, the Oman government issues a special electronic visa that allows travelers to obtain a visa without having to approach any embassy or consulate. Unfortunately, Indian passport holders are not eligible for this specific type of visa unless they fulfill one additional requirement.

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • Australia.

If you need to check your eligibility, we encourage to use iVisa’s Visa Checker, but if you’re ready to fill out an application, here’s what you need to know.

Remember: If you do not have such document, you will need to approach the nearest embassy and apply there for your Oman paper visa.

The application form created by iVisa is pretty straightforward and easy to fill. You should be done with it in about 15 minutes, and if you need some help, iVisa provides an excellent support service that is available 24/7. There are three steps you need to complete:

The first step:

As previously stated, you will be required to to give some personal information and details about your trip. Later on, you will be asked to select a visa type and a processing time according to the following:

  • Standard processing – your visa application is processed within 72 hours, and the price is $82.

  • Rush processing – you will receive your visa within 48 hours, and the fee is $132.

  • Super rush processing – this is the fastest option. You will get your Oman e-visa in just 12 hours, but you will be charged $162.

The fees expressed above are for the single-entry, 30-day visa. The multiple-entry visa costs $78 more for each processing times, while Indians with a GCC residence permit must pay only $43, $93, or $123 respectively.

Finally, you will be asked to select the period of time you can spend in Oman, and the number of entries depend on whether you have a valid visa for one of the countries mentioned above or residence permit from a GCC country.

The second step:

Upon completing the first step of your application form, you will be asked to pay the visa fee and revise all given information. After you complete the steps, just hit the submit button and wait for the visa to arrive in your e-mail inbox within the timeframe you selected.

As you can see, getting an Oman visa for Indian citizens is not challenging to do. When you apply online with iVisa, most of the work is not on your part. You do not have to go anywhere, you can apply day or night. It cannot get any easier than that.
