Indian passport holders are not eligible for an Oman electronic visa, but there is one way around it. If you are Indian and you want to apply online for an Oman e-visa, you need to meet one extra requirement, and that is you need to have a valid visa or a residence permit issued by one of the following countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, or Australia. If you do not have such a document, you need to go to the nearest embassy and apply there for your Oman visa.
To apply online for an Oman visa, you do not need much, and iVisa will ask very little of you during the application process. In fact, here is all you need to provide:
Passport – all Indian applicants need to have a passport that remains valid for at least another 6 months from the date of arrival in Oman. A passport scan – the information page is the most important
A digital photo of yourself – make sure that it is taken in the last 6 months.
E-mail address – when you apply with iVisa, you will receive the visa via e-mail, so make sure that you introduce a valid and correct e-mail address.
Means of payment – iVisa accepts multiple methods of payment such as credit/debit cards, Paypal, Alipay, or WeChat.
The application form created by iVisa is pretty straightforward. You should be done with it in about 15 minutes, and if you need some help, iVisa provides an excellent support service that is available 24/7. There are three steps you need to complete. The first one requires you to give some personal information and some details about your trip. You must also select a visa type and a processing time. This part can be tricky so make sure that you choose all the correct answers. The cost of your visa, the period of time you can spend in Oman, and the number of entries depend on whether you have a valid visa for one of the countries mentioned above or residence permit from a GCC country.
As for the processing time and fees, they are as follows:
Standard processing – your visa application is processed within 72 hours, and the price is $82.
Rush processing – you will receive your visa within 48 hours, and the fee is $132.
The fees expressed above are for the single-entry, 30-day visa. The multiple-entry visa costs $78 more for each processing times, while Indians with a GCC residence permit must pay only $43, $93, or $123 respectively.
The second step of the application form consists of payment and revision, and the third step will ask you to upload some additional document if necessary. After you complete the steps, just hit the submit button and wait for the visa to arrive in your e-mail inbox within the timeframe you selected.
As you can see, getting an Oman visa for Indian citizens is not challenging to do. When you apply online with iVisa, most of the work is not on your part. You do not have to go anywhere, you can apply day or night. It cannot get any easier than that.
