Updated on Dec 19, 2023

The Poland Schengen Visa is offered for a variety of reasons that allow travelers access to 26 different countries. This visa is offered for single entry, double entry, and multiple entry.

Poland

If you are travelling to Poland and the Schengen area, your embassy will grant you a period of validity when your application is approved. This means that your visa will only be valid within the dates they provide you with. This will depend on your embassy and your reasons for travelling. Validity is not affected by duration of stay. Staying past the validity of your visa may have adverse effects on your ability to obtain visas to the Schengen area in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

If I don't use my visa within the timeframe of validity, can I get a refund?

No. Visa fees are paid to the embassy/consulate and are nonrefundable. If you do not use your visa within the allowed timeframe, you will not be able to receive a refund.

Can I request an extension?

You can request an extension, but extensions are rarely granted if there is not an urgent need for one.

How much does it cost to apply for a Poland Schengen visa?

The price you pay for your visa will depend on who you are, what your connections in the Schengen area are, and why you are travelling. Several different classifications of applicants are exempt from paying for their visa so be sure to check with the embassy to see if you qualify.

Can I submit my application online?

No. The Poland Schengen Visa is not available for electronic submissions. You must submit your application in person. iVisa will provide you with your application and give you a guide for submitting your application.

Where do I submit my application?

You will submit your Poland Schengen visa at a Polish embassy or consulate. When you go to the embassy, you will need to bring the required documents with you and you will need to provide your biometrics, which will be obtained digitally. Additionally, you will need to pay for your application and attend an interview. You will need to book an appointment with the embassy prior to showing up.

What documents are required for this visa?

Different documents are required for different visas. The following list is not exhaustive, but does apply to each visa type:

  • A printed copy of the application
  • Printed confirmation of your scheduled interview appointment.
  • Current valid passport.
  • 2 recent photos. Photos must be taken with a white background and can have no obstructions (glasses, hats, etc.) covering your face or ears. Additionally, the photos cannot be more than 6 months old and must be 5x5 inches.
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months to show that you have more than enough money to cover the expenses of your trip (unless you are being sponsored by a company/institution).
  • Accommodation details (hotel reservation or invitation letter).
  • Medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros.
