However, if you’re applying for a different type of visa for Russia, this requirement must still be fulfilled. Easily get an invitation letter through our services here without issues and assistance whenever you need it.

What is the difference between a Tourist Invitation Letter and a Russian eVisa?

The Tourist Invitation Letter is a document that must be presented along with your visa application. It is not an actual visa but a document that the Russian government requires for you to apply for a visa (other than the eVisa).

Can I travel to Russia right now?

Although there are no direct flights from many countries to Russia at the time of writing, it is possible to visit Russia with a valid visa. You may need to transfer in Turkey or another country.

Insider tip: Our world traveler for Project Kosmos, Michael Zervos, who recently traveled to Russia, recommends using a travel agency to book flights, or if you're lucky enough, have a friend in Russia who can book for you. The reason being, that most US nations have sanctions against Russia at the moment, so you can't use your usual major international payment methods. Check out more tips in our Top 10 tips for traveling to Russia blog.

Keep in mind that the Russian eVisa offers entry to the country only through certain land borders, airports, and seaports.
