A trip to Singapore entails a lot of planning. You need to book your flights, search the best accommodation deals, and manage the itinerary. Plus, you need to check whether or not you need a visa. If you are one of the 34 visa-exempt nationalities, you can stay in Singapore for up to 90 days, but if not, you need to apply for a Singapore visa.

At the same time, 15 nationalities in the world qualify for an electronic visa. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to apply online and avoid a trip to the embassy altogether.

Getting a visa may not be the easiest thing. But you can manage just fine if you make a Singapore visa checklist. How is that supposed to help you? An online application process consists of some steps that you need to make. Once you are done with one, you can move to the other. That is how a list can help you. You can go over every bullet point on your checklist to ensure a successful application process.

  • Check your eligibility – before you apply for a Singapore visa, you need to make sure that you need one. The easiest way to cross this off your list is to use iVisa’s Visa Checker. Access the tool, which you can see in the top right corner of this page. On the left menu, you need to select your country of origin, while the one on the right; you must put Singapore as your destination. The result will notify you about your options. Moreover, if you are not visa-exempt or eligible for a Singapore eVisa, you will be given a list of the nearest embassies where you can go and obtain a consular visa.

  • Prepare the required documents – if you do need to apply for a Singapore visa, you need to put together a set of documents that will get the process started. Lucky for you, the list of requirements does not contain anything out of the ordinary. You need a passport that does not expire for at least another 6 months from the date of departure from Singapore, a digital photo of yourself that was taken in the last three months, a valid e-mail address, and a means of online payment. When you arrive in Singapore, you need to present a return or onward flight ticket, and some nationalities are required to have a Yellow fever vaccination certificate.

  • Fill in the application form – once you see that you have everything you need, you can move on to the next step, and that is to fill in the online application form. iVisa created a short and straightforward form that should not take more than 20 minutes of your time. It has three simple steps, and if you need help with any of them, you can contact iVisa’s support service. It is available 24/7, and it is entirely free of charge. The steps will ask for your general information and some details about your trip. You also need to make the payment, select a processing time, revise every bit of information, and upload some documents.

  • Wait for the Singapore visa to arrive – once you are done with the application form, you need to submit your application, and the eVisa comes in the timeframe of your choosing. The document is delivered via e-mail in PDF format, and you need to print it out. We recommend that you print out several copies and put them in several bags. In case you lose one, you have at least one spare.

Getting a Singapore eVisa may be simple, but the list above should make it even simpler. Be careful as you cross every item on the list, and you will have a successful application process.
