Do Guinean Citizens need a visa to travel to Sri Lanka?

Yes, Guineans citizens need a Consular Tourist Visa to travel to Sri Lanka, at least for now.

What is a Sri Lanka ETA?

The Sri Lankan ETA is a document that allows you to enter Sri Lanka with an electronic link in your passport. This might be the document you'll need in the future to enter Sri Lanka.

How long can I stay in Sri Lanka?

It'll depend on the information you received at the embassy. Most of the time they give you a maximum stay of 30 days in Total.

What documents do I need?

You need to provide some requirements to simplify the application process. You don't need to worry about the list of requirements because it's not very long, and you should have no trouble with getting everything on it:

  • Valid Passport – This is the most important document you need to travel. If you already have it, make sure that it is still valid for at least 6 months from your date of departure.

  • Valid e-mail address – You will receive your ETA via e-mail in PDF format, so we recommend you to check the spelling of your e-mail address at least twice because it has to be valid.

  • Payment Options – iVisa allows you to pay with multiple methods. You can use either a credit/debit card or a Paypal account if you prefer.

  • Return or onward flight ticket – This requirement applies only to citizens of these countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, and Syria.

Note that these are the basic requirements to get the Sri Lankan ETA, but that you could need other documents in the future.

How long is the Sri Lanka e-Visa for Guineans valid for?

We still don't have much information about the validity of this document if you're Guinean. What we can tell you is that we other nationalities, this ETA expires 30 days after arrival, and allows you to stay in Sri Lanka for 30 days in Total.

What are the prices and the processing times?

Your Sri Lanka ETA will have a different price depending on the processing time you elect. In other words, the quicker you want your ETA, the more you'll have to pay for it.

As for the processing times, iVisa doesn't have the information for Guineans, but you can have an idea based on thee prices for Egyptians:

  • Standard processing – If you select this option, you need to pay only USD $100.99. Your application will be processed within just 3 days.

  • Rush processing – You can choose this option if you have your flight in the afternoon. It takes only 24 hours for your application to be processed, and you will be charged USD $152.99.

  • Super Rush processing – This choice is great for people who need their ETA on the spot. Your travel document will be ready within just 12 hours. However, the price is as high as USD $225.99.

How can I apply?

The application form has two simple steps:

  1. The first one will ask you to fill in your general information like name, address, passport info, e-mail, and so on. Also, you must choose the type of ETA you want, tourist or business, and the processing time.

  2. The second step of the application process consists of payment and revision. You can pay for this service with one of the methods mentioned above (credit/debit card or Paypal). As for the review, all the information you provide must be 100% accurate. Remember that after your application is processed, you cannot make any corrections, which means you'd need to go through the process again. Also, iVisa has a no-refund policy, so you'd also need to make the payment again. That's why we suggest you check everything twice before hitting the submit button.
