In 2016, Taiwan permitted the release of an eVisa, better known as R.O.C. Travel Authorization Certificate. Originally, it applied to 23 countries, but new nationalities will be added in the future. Unfortunately, Bangladeshi citizens can't get this Travel Authorization yet, but it could be a chance in the near future.

As a Bangladesh citizen, do I need a visa to enter Taiwan?

Yes, if you're Bangladeshi, you need a visa to enter this country. You cannot apply for this visa online, but iVisa will launch the online visa very soon.

How many days can I stay in Taiwan if I'm from Bangladesh?

You can stay 30 days in Total upon arrival.

What is a R.O.C (Travel Authorization Certificate)?

The Taiwanese R.O.C (Travel Authorization Certificate) is an authorization that allows you to enter Taiwan for a short period. This could be the document you could get in the future if you're planning to travel to Taiwan.

What documents do I need to gather in order to apply?

We cannot give you the final list of requirements yet because this document isn't available for Bangladeshis. Nevertheless, we can give you an idea of the documents required based on other nationalities. This can be very useful for you once the R.O.C is launched:

  • Proof of accommodation

  • Invitation letter

  • Bank statement

  • Return flight ticket

  • Copies of your passport’s main page.

  • Digital passport-sized photo.

Although it may differ from one person to another, the documents above may be requested by an immigration officer, and it is highly recommended for Bangladeshi to have them just in case. This is to avoid any unpleasant incidents like delays.

What is the validity of the R.O.C.?

How much does it take to obtain this document and how much does it cost?

The price of your R.O.C will change according to how fast you need this document. These are your options:

  • Standard processing (7 Business Days): USD $133.89.

  • Rush processing (5 Business Days): USD $185.89.

  • Super Rush processing (3 Business Days): USD $257.89.

How can I submit my application?

The online application form is quite easy to understand, and it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to complete it. In case you need help, you can contact our iVisa's customer service at any time.

The form is divided into three steps:

  1. First, you will be asked to fill in your basic information. You are also required to select the processing time you prefer.

  2. Second you must review the information you gave in step one. After that, you can proceed with the payment

  3. Third, you'll be required to upload additional documents depending on your situation. For example, if you're traveling with children, then you will need additional documents.

How many times can I enter Taiwan if I get the R.O.C.?

You'll count with a Single Entry, which means that you won't be able to enter more than once.

Do I have to apply for a Taiwan visa if I'm just in the transit area?

No. You don't need to apply for a visa as long as you remain in the international transit area.

How do I know if my R.O.C. is ready?

We will inform you through an email as soon as the Government approves your application.
