I’m an Italian national, do I need a visa to visit Thailand?
According to recent announcements from the Thai government, Italians now need a visa to visit its country. For details of how you can obtain a visa, you can contact the Thai Embassy in Italy and get all the information related to this document.
Do not forget that the Thailand Government is now requesting from all travelers a new document called Health Declaration.
What is the Thailand T.8 Form)?
It is an official health declaration issued by the Thai government whose purpose is to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 as well as confirm if travelers meet all the conditions to enter Thailand safely. The Immigration Officers will verify this certificate by scanning the QR Code on your phone that you will receive from us.
If the Thailand Health Declaration cost zero, why do I need to pay?
The T.8 Form doesn't have a cost. However, you will need to pay a small amount for our service fee.
Do I need to show a COVID vaccination certificate to enter Thailand?
Full vaccination is not mandatory to enter Thailand, however if you display your COVID vaccine passport or vaccination certificate you can enjoy a shorter quarantine.
Accepted vaccines are Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Sinopharm and Sputnik V.
You are considered vaccinated if all doses of a vaccine against SARS-Cov-2 have been administered at least two weeks before traveling.
Do I need a negative COVID-19 test result to enter Thailand?
- COVID test prior to arrival: PCR within 72 hours
- COVID test after arrival: All travelers will be PCR tested on arrival.
- COVID test in quarantine: Fully vaccinated travelers will be PCR tested on day 6/7 and unvaccinated travelers will be PCR tested on day 8/9.
Is quarantine obligatory when I arrive in Thailand?
Quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travelers: 7 days in pre-booked hotel (AQ/OQ/AHQ/SQ).
Quarantine testing for fully vaccinated travelers: PCR test on arrival and on day 6/7.
Quarantine requirements for unvaccinated travelers: 10 days in pre-booked hotel (AQ/OQ/AHQ/SQ) for air/sea arrivals and 14 days in pre-booked hotel (AQ/OQ/AHQ/SQ) for land arrivals.

How long can Italian passport holders remain in Thailand with this T.8 Form?
The Health Declaration (T.8 Form) only grants the right to enter Thailand which means you will get a Single Entry and it will expire in 14 days after arrival or until passport expires. Your stay will depend on your visa's validity.

How much does the application for the Health Declaration cost?

Rush Processing: one level higher! Here we will process your T.8 Form in 5 days. In addition, the fee you will pay is USD 35.00.
Super Rush Processing: this is the perfect option if you need to travel right away. On this level, it only takes 3 days to process your form, but it has a higher price: USD 60.00.
How does the Thailand T.8 form work?
The T.8 Form works as a health statement that you will need to complete prior to your travel to Thailand. It is downloadable by scanning a QR Code that we will send you once your application is approved. The officers at the airport will scan the code on your phone and then decide if you are fit to enter the country.

As long as your children hold their own ordinary passport, they will need their own Health Declaration (T.8 Form). Otherwise, they won't be able to enter Thailand.
My relatives want to travel with me, how can they apply?

Do Italians passport holders need a visa if we are only transiting through Thailand?
If you are transiting through Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang International Airport for less than 12 hours, then you will not need a transit Visa. For further information, we recommend you to contact the Embassy of Thailand in Italy.
