Thailand has made visas on arrival available for the citizens of 21 countries, and Kazakhstani citizens are among them. As long as you are a citizen of Kazakhstan, it means that when you want to go to Thailand, you can avoid going to the Thai embassy to get your visa. Instead, you can get it from one of the 48 immigration checkpoints all over the country. However, there is even an easier way. You can use iVisa and apply online. You do not have to waste any more time at the visas service counter in Thailand.
What is it required of you?
While iVisa will handle the bureaucracy, you still need to provide some info about yourself and your trip. Even so, the list is not very long, and the chances of you already having everything you need are pretty high. Here is the list:
Valid passport – getting a passport is not an issue for most people, and if you already have one, take a look at its expiry date. The passport needs to keep its validity for at least another month from your date of departure to Thailand.
Return flight ticket – the Thailand visa on arrival allows you to spend only 15 days inside the country. The immigration officer will ask you to show a confirmed return flight ticket that proves your return within those 15 days.
Proof of accommodation – you need to have a hotel reservation or a signed letter from a host that says you have a place to stay while in the country.
Valid e-mail address – once you apply on iVisa, they will send you an application form that you need to fill in before your trip. They will send you the aforementioned document via e-mail, which is why you need to make sure that the address you provide is valid.
Means of payment – by applying online, you must pay a service fee to iVisa. You can make the payment using a credit or a debit card. If you have an account on Paypal, you can use that as well.
When you get to Thailand, you may also be required to state the purpose of your visit. The immigration officers just want to make sure that you will get out of the country within the 15-day period.
The application form
When you apply online for a Thailand visa on arrival, you actually apply for the form that will get you the visa itself. That is possible only when you get to Thailand. Even so, iVisa created a simple two-step application that you should be able to complete in 10 minutes. In case you need any help, you can contact iVisa’s support service 24/7.
The first step requires you to fill in your personal information and some info about your trip. Also, you must choose the timeframe in which your application is processed. You are given three options:
Standard processing – people who apply online often select this option because it costs less than the other two. The total amount is $20, and your application takes just 1 business day to be processed.
Rush processing – this option shortens the waiting time to only 2 hours. The cost, however, is a bit higher. This option costs $50.
Super Rush processing – this is the fastest option you can hope for. It costs $70, but your application is processed in as little as 15 minutes. It is ideal for people who want their visa as soon as possible.
The second step consists of payment and revision. The latter is crucial because you cannot correct any information you provided after the application is processed. As a result, you need to go through all of it again.
As you can see, the Thailand visa for Kazakhstani citizens is easy to obtain. The process is simple, it does not take long, and the fees are more than affordable.
Note: you can apply online using iVisa only if you travel to Thailand by air and you land at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok.
