Passport renewal update – check online

To check online for the status of your passport renewal application, you have to go through the following steps:

1.Access the Online Passport Status System. You can find it on the US Department of State website.

2.Review the Department of State's Privacy and Computer Fraud and Abuse Acts Notices and Disclaimers. The page will open in a new window.

3.After reviewing the above, you have to check the box that says, 'I have read the Privacy and Computer Fraud and Abuse Acts Notices and Disclaimers,' and then click on the submit button.

4.Insert your last name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your social security number.
