Need to renew your U.S. B1/B2 Visa in India? Here is our complete guide on how to apply for a renewal online.

The U.S. Embassy and the Consulates are responsible for providing visa services to those seeking to enter the United States. In general, most people planning to enter the United States must have a visa. This can either be a nonimmigrant visa for short visits or an immigrant visa for permanent residence.

The United States B1/B2 visa is a temporary, nonimmigrant visa for business and tourism purposes. If you are an Indian citizen who needs to apply for a non-immigrant visa renewal as your current one has expired, you can apply for it online. Here’s everything you need to know to do so.

If you’re unsure what else you need to travel to the United States, use our Visa Checker Tool to double-check the requirements.

During the visa interview, consular officers will question you about things like your reason to travel to the United States. The visa interview is not very long. However, you must arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time.

When you arrive, you will be asked to present your appointment letter and passport. Then you will go through security clearance and may need to wait in line before being interviewed.

Please remember that US Embassies and Consulates in India do not allow electronics, phones, food, or large bags inside.
