What is the Switzerland Vietnam Visa, and how to obtain one?

A Vietnam visa is an electronic visa the country's government introduced in 2017. Travelers can obtain this document without having to go to a Vietnam embassy. This is not a business visa; if you need that type of document, you will need to talk to the immigration department at the embassy closest to you.

The Vietnam e-visa is valid for 30 days after arrival from the date of entry and is a Multiple Entry visa. You must apply for an extension at the nearest Vietnam embassy if you wish to stay longer in the country.

We recommend applying at least a few weeks before your trip to Vietnam. Just follow the iVisa application steps to get going.

It's easy to apply for a Vietnam tourist visa. First, fill in your personal details and choose the processing time that best suits your travel needs. Next, verify that the information you've entered is correct. Then pay the iVisa service fee. Finally, attach your documents and click the 'submit' button to get your visa.

Remember that this process is 100% online so that you can do it from any electronic device in the comfort of your own home.

Does everyone have to apply for this type of document?

The Vietnamese visa is available for citizens of 80 countries or more, and Swiss passport holders must apply for a visa. If you want to be sure, you can use our visa checker tool to determine if your nationality qualifies, and apply online.

Nevertheless, citizens of 25 countries can enter Vietnam without a visa as of January 2022. They only need to show their passports at border control to obtain a visa on arrival.

U.S. permanent residents can apply for a visa waiver certificate instead of obtaining a visa when traveling to Vietnam. They might need a visa approval letter.

All visitors traveling to Vietnam must have a visa. However, children under the age of 14 may be included in processing their parents' visas. All other visitors must apply for their own visas.
