Zambia visa for Australian citizens
Tourists who would like to travel from Australia to Zambia are no longer required to apply for their visa at the Zambia embassy. That is possible thanks to iVisa, a company that expedites the process of obtaining a visa. So, if you are an Australian citizen, and you plan on going to Zambia anytime soon, you can acquire your documents from the comfort of your own home. When you apply for a visa using iVisa, you will not get a proper visa, but an approval letter that will allow you to fly to Zambia on one of the three designated airports: Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone, and Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola. The visa per se will be given to you at the immigration office on one of the three airports.
What do you need to do?
The requirements are simple. First, you need to put together a few documents that will get you started. Here is what you need: • A valid passport – it needs to remain valid for at least six months after your departure. • A proof of accommodation – a letter from a host or a hotel booking is more than enough. • A return flight ticket • A digital passport-sized photo of yourself • A scan of the information page of your passport Now that you know what documents you need let’s move on to the application.
What about the application?
The application form is simple to fill in. If you require any help, iVisa has a 24/7 support service that is ready to take your call and help you every step of the way. There are three stages. Stage number one will require your basic information. It should take just a couple of minutes to fill in. At this point, you must also choose the processing time. You can select one of the three options available. The Standard processing means that your approval letter will arrive via email within three business days. The Rush processing time is the one in which your application is processed in two business days. Last but not least, the Super Rush processing time means that your approval letter will be ready within one business day. The second step consists of a simple revision and payment, and in the last step, you will be required to upload additional documents. After you are done with all of that, you can hit submit and wait for your approval letter to arrive in the timeframe you chose.
The approval letter is free, but you need to pay a service fee to iVisa. That depends on the processing time you wanted. The Standard costs 26.94 AUD, the Rush processing is 80.82 AUD, and the Super Rush costs 107.76 AUD. You can make the payment using a credit/debit card or a Paypal account in the second step of the application. Keep in mind that the fees mentioned above are for iVisa only. When you arrive in Zambia, you will also be required to pay for the visa that will be given to you at the immigration office. The cost depends on the country of origin, so it is not static.
