Zambia visa for Bulgarians

Bulgarians travelling to Zambia means more than preparing for safari. A visa is also needed to cross the border and here is where iVisa can provide assistance. Instead of going to a diplomatic mission, you can apply from the comfort of your home through online application. A laptop or a smartphone with an internet connection is all you need. Although, only 95 nationalities qualify for an electronic visa, your chances are pretty high.

To verify your eligibility, you can use a tool called the Visa Checker. It is located in the upper-right corner of iVisa’s website. Just pick out your nationality as Czechs from the drop-down menu and choose Zambia as your destination. The information will be shown in just an instant. What is even better is that if you are eligible, you will be redirected to the application form. How easy is that?

What are Bulgarians required to do?

The first thing you need to check is whether or not you posses all the documents and information iVisa needs to process your application. Here is a list of what you need to submit:

  • A valid passport – make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months from your date of entry in Zambia.

  • Proof of accommodation – a hotel confirmation or a letter from a host will suffice.

  • Return flight ticket

  • A scan of the information page of your passport

  • A digital photo of you – the photo needs to meet the criteria of a passport photo.

  • E-mail address – iVisa will send you a copy of the issued document via e-mail in PDF format. You need to print it before you leave.

  • Means of payment – iVisa accepts multiple methods of payment. You can use a credit or a debit card, and since Paypal has become quite popular in these past few years, you can use that as well if you have an account.

The second thing Bulgarians need to do is fill in an application. That, however, is not difficult to do, and it should only take about 10 minutes to finish. If you need any assistance with it, you can call iVisa’s customer service day or night.

The application is divided down into three steps. The first one includes your general information such as name, address, e-mail, date or arrival in Zambia, passport info, and so on. Bulgarians must also choose the processing time and visa type. The latter comes with options regarding the number of entries. As for the former, iVisa gives you three options:

  • Standard processing time – you will receive your evisa within 3 business days, and you have to pay only $20.

  • Rush processing time – by opting for this choice, your evisa will be ready within 2 business days, and it costs more than the previous choice. You will be charged $60.

  • Super Rush processing time – this option is perfect for Bulgarians who need to be on the plane to Zambia the next day. It takes only 1 business day for the application to be processed. As you may expect, it is more expensive. You will be charged $80.

The second step will require you to make the payment and do a quick revision of the provided information. It is very important to do so because corrections are impossible to make once your application is processed. As a result, you need to apply for a new visa.

The third step, and last, will ask Bulgarians to upload additional documents. These documents are determined by your personal situation. As an example, Bulgarians traveling with minors require more documents than people who go to Zambia alone. Nevertheless, you will be told of what you need to upload.

Always remember that you will also be required to pay some fees upon arrival in Zambia. iVisa charges the processing of your application so that you get an approval letter. The visa per se will be given to you in Zambia. For that, you need to make some payments at the immigration office there. Additionally, the approval letter is valid only at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, the Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone, and at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola. Visas on arrival, on the other hand, are available all on airports.
