A Zambian safari adventure requires meticulous planning and visa preparation. Conveniently, iVisa is assisting Swiss in obtaining such document. It is no longer required to visit Zambia’s diplomatic mission because iVisa gives you the option to apply via internet. This makes it super convenient as you only need a laptop or a smartphone. Presently, only 95 nationalities are qualified for an evisa but there is a high probability for eligibility.
You can utilize Visa Checker to verify your status. This tool is positioned in the upper-right corner of iVisa’s website. Just select your nationality as Austrian from the drop down and choose Zambia for destination. Your qualification will be displayed quickly and you will be redirected to the application form. What could be easier than that?
Collecting all the required documents and information is the first thing that needs to be done. iVisa can begin your application once they have your documents. You need to provide the following:
A valid passport – always check the expiration date of your passport and make sure that it stays valid for at least six months from the date of entry in Zambia.
Proof of accommodation – a hotel confirmation or a letter from a host will suffice.
Return flight ticket
A scan of the information page of your passport
A digital photo of you – the photo needs to meet the criteria of a passport photo.
E-mail address – iVisa will send you a copy of the issued document via e-mail in PDF format. You need to print it before your departure.
It is not difficult to accomplish the next step of the application. All that is required is 10 minutes of your time. In case that you will encounter any difficulty, you can contact iVisa’s customer support that is available 24/7.
The application process consists of three steps. The first one includes your general information such as name, address, e-mail, date or arrival in Zambia, passport info, etc. Swiss needs to select the processing time and visa type during this time after putting information. Visa type have selection for number of entries while processing time comes with three options:
Standard processing time – this is the longest option for only $20. You will receive your evisa within 3 business days.
Rush processing time – you can opt for this for $60 and your evisa will be ready within 2 business days.
In the second step, you will need to make payment using the methods above. You need to review the uploaded information. It is essential to do so as corrections are not permissible once your application is processed. Any errors in your document will make unusable and due to that, you will repeat the application.
Depending on personal circumstance, additional documents might be requested from Swiss in the final step. For instance, travelling Swiss with minors requires additional documents when going to Zambia. You will be promptly informed of these additional documents.
You also need to pay additional fees upon entry in Zambia. iVisa charges the processing of your application so that you can acquire an approval letter. The visa per se will be given to you in Zambia once you made payments at the immigration office. Lastly, the approval letter is only accepted at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, the Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone, and at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola. On the other hand, visas on arrival are available all on airports.
