Who needs a visa for Egypt?

The following nationals enjoy visa-free entry into Egypt for specific durations:

• Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries: Citizens from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates can enter Egypt without a visa for up to six months.

• Lebanon: Lebanese nationals can enter visa-free for up to 90 days under specific conditions, such as arriving on charter flights at designated airports like Borg El Arab, Hurghada, or Sharm el Sheikh.

• Jordan: Jordanians can enter without a visa for visits of up to one month, provided travelers hold an ordinary 5-year passport without a stamp from the Jordanian Registration Office.

A visa-on-arrival is available for nationals from approximately 51 countries, including all European Union member states, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. This visa is typically valid for 30 days and can be obtained directly at major entry points like Cairo, Hurghada, and Sharm El Sheikh airports.

Several countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, and Germany, are eligible for an Egyptian eVisa and can apply for it online without visiting an Egyptian diplomatic mission.

Travelers from countries not listed under visa-exempt or visa-on-arrival categories must apply for a visa at the nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate. This includes most African, South American, and Asian countries.
