The Republic of Madagascar introduced the electronic visa (eVisa) service in 2017 to ease the visa process and tourists planning to travel to Madagascar do not have to visit an embassy or consular office to obtain a visa. Some cruise ships handle the visa on behalf of travelers, but that is not always the case. If you are required to obtain the eVisa (the Landing Authorization) yourself, you may apply for it online at iVisa or request it upon arrival at the port.
