Most travelers entering South Korea must complete the digital e-Arrival Card in the 72 hours before arrival. If you have a valid K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization), you're exempt from filing the e-Arrival Card. Travelers from visa-waiver countries can choose between the K-ETA or the e-Arrival Card (required for each entry).

Once your South Korea e-Arrival Card application is approved, you will receive an email confirmation. The authorization is digitally linked to your passport, so there is no physical sticker or paper document to carry. However, it's always recommended to keep a digital copy of the confirmation on your phone for peace of mind, which you can also find in your iVisa dashboard if applied through us.

The e-Arrival Card is an entry declaration, not a visa. Your stay duration depends on your nationality's visa-waiver agreement—typically 90 days for most tourists. Note: Canadian citizens can stay for up to 180 days, while some other nationalities are limited to 30 or 60 days.

The South Korea e-Arrival Card is usually processed quickly. We recommend applying at least three days before your departure date to account for any unexpected government delays.

You must submit the e-Arrival Card within 3 days (72 hours) before your arrival in South Korea. Applications submitted too early may not be accepted by the system. With iVisa, you can submit your info anytime, and we'll queue it to process exactly within the required 72-hour window.

If you're staying in the international transit area at Incheon Airport and not clearing immigration, you don't need an e-Arrival Card. If you plan to enter the country (e.g., for a layover tour or to collect baggage for a self-transfer), you must complete the card.

No. The e-Arrival Card is a single-entry declaration. You must submit a new card for every trip you take to South Korea. If you travel frequently, applying for a K-ETA is recommended, as it remains valid for multiple entries over three years.

Rejections are usually due to mismatched passport data (such as typos in the passport number) or providing an invalid South Korean address. Ensure your accommodation address is written clearly in English or Korean and that your flight number matches your itinerary exactly.

If you haven't completed it online, you'll be required to fill one out upon landing. Completing it in advance via iVisa allows you to bypass these queues.
