Frequently asked questions

Yes. Even if you're from a visa-exempt country such as the US, UK, or Australia, you must still complete the Digital Arrival Card. It is an administrative requirement for all foreign arrivals, meant to speed up immigration. Failing to submit the TDAC within the 72-hour window before arrival can mean denied boarding by your airline or long delays at Thai immigration.

Once your application is processed, you will receive an email containing a PDF confirmation and a unique QR code. You do not need a physical sticker; simply show the QR code on your mobile device or a printed copy to the immigration officer upon arrival. You can also find a copy of your confirmation in your iVisa dashboard if you applied through us.

The Digital Arrival Card doesn't set your length of stay - it's an entry registration. Your permitted stay depends on your nationality's rules. Most visa-exempt travelers may stay up to 60 days per entry, and for arrivals from September 15, 2026 that drops to 30 days for most nationalities, including US citizens. To stay longer, apply for an extension at a local Thai immigration office.

The Thai government requires the card to be submitted in the 72 hours (3 days) before your arrival. With iVisa, you can submit your info even before that; we will automatically queue your application to ensure it is processed and sent to you exactly within that 72-hour window so your registration is valid when you land.

Yes. Every traveler, including infants and young children, must have their own registered Digital Arrival Card. You can use iVisa's "Add another person" feature to manage applications for the whole family in a single session.

If you are transiting through Thailand and staying within the international transit area (not clearing immigration), you do not need a TDAC. However, if you plan to enter the country, even for a few hours, or if you must clear immigration to collect bags for a self-transfer flight, the card is mandatory.

Common mistakes are a mismatched passport number, a name typo (it must exactly match your passport's machine-readable zone), or a wrong arrival date. There's no approval or denial step - it's a declaration, not an application. But name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth can't be corrected once submitted, so an error there means filing a new card. iVisa's review catches these first.

No. The card is for single entry only. You must complete a new Thailand Digital Arrival Card registration for every entry into the country, regardless of whether you arrive by air, land, or sea.

Our service fee is separate from any government fee. When you apply with us, you are paying for the guided application, expert review and error-checking, multilingual support, processing, and status tracking we provide, not for the card itself. The final document still comes from the Thai government; we simply deliver it straight to your inbox once it is ready.

No. Thailand Pass was a separate registration Thailand used during the COVID-19 period, and it's no longer in use. Every foreign traveler entering Thailand today completes the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) instead.

One traveler pays from $69.99. Includes all government fees. Faster processing costs more, and every option is priced above.
