Do Nepalese citizens need a visa to visit Suriname?

Yes, Nepalese citizens must obtain a visa before traveling to Suriname. In May 2023, Suriname reintroduced visa requirements for citizens from 21 countries, including Nepal.

Several eVisa options are available, depending on the purpose of the visit. The main ones are:

  • Tourist eVisa: Suitable for those visiting Suriname for leisure, sightseeing, or visiting friends and family.

  • Business eVisa: Intended for those traveling for business purposes, including meetings, conferences, or short-term training.

  • Transit eVisa: Designed for travelers passing through Suriname on their way to another destination.

Additionally, Nepalese passport holders may need to pay the Suriname Entry Fee or risk being denied entry.

Currently, iVisa handles applications for Suriname Business and Transit Visas and the Entry Fee. If you’re traveling for tourism, please visit the VFS Global website for information on obtaining a Tourist eVisa.
