Since April 1, all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. Tourists from all countries are allowed to enter Costa Rica.

Do I need a Covid vaccine to travel to Costa Rica?

No, there are no vaccination requirements to enter Costa Rica.

However, there are other vaccine requirements for Costa Rica and safety tips you should follow.

Required Vaccines

  • Polio
  • Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR)
  • TDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis)
  • Chickenpox (Varicella)
  • Influenza
  • Yellow Fever (Required if traveling from a country with a risk of YF virus transmission and nine months of age.)
