Russia adds evisa entry point

Russia has added Kyzyl Airport as its latest entry point for travelers holding an electronic visa. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the decree on January 21, 2026, expanding the country's single e-Visa system to include the Siberian airport.

Kyzyl is the capital of the Republic of Tuva, a mountainous region in southern Siberia bordering Mongolia. The area is known for its nomadic traditions, cultural heritage, and striking natural landscapes. The city is often described as one of the geographic centers of Asia.

The use of a single e-Visa will help the development of tourism, will increase the investment attractiveness of the regions, and contribute to the growth of the economy as a whole.

Recent expansion of Russia's e-Visa program

The addition of Kyzyl Airport follows another recent expansion. In December, Russian authorities added the Zabaykalsk road border crossing.

With that inclusion, all international border crossings along the Transbaikalian section of the Russia-China border are now open to e-Visa holders.

107 entry points now accessible with a Russian e-Visa

Russia's single electronic visa system now includes 107 authorized entry points across air, sea, rail, and road crossings. The program is designed to simplify entry for foreign travelers and support tourism and economic development across the country's regions.
