Immigrants of Jewish descent or those who have converted to Judaism can apply for the Aliyah Visa, also known as immigration under the Law of Return.
This leads to an A/1 temporary resident visa and eventually to permanent residency and citizenship. The process is coordinated through the Jewish Agency and the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration.

Israel’s visa policy depends on your nationality, purpose of travel, and intended length of stay. Whether you’re traveling for tourism, business, study, or to join family, there are multiple visa options available.
If you're a citizen of a visa-exempt country like the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, or most European Union nations, you can currently enter Israel with an Israel ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) before boarding a flight. The ETA is a digital document that allows multiple entries over a two-year period, with each stay limited to 90 days.
If you are not from a visa-exempt country, or if you're planning to stay in Israel longer than 90 days, you must apply for a traditional Israel eVisa in advance. The most common type is the B/2 Visitor Visa, which covers tourism, short business trips, medical treatment, and visiting friends or family. This visa typically allows a stay of up to 90 days.
For travelers who want to work in Israel, the B/1 Work Visa is required. This visa is issued only after an Israeli employer receives approval from the Ministry of Interior. Students planning to attend school or university in Israel for more than three months will need an A/2 Student Visa, which requires proof of enrollment at a recognized educational institution.
Under the Law of Return, individuals of Jewish heritage or converts to Judaism can apply for an Aliyah Visa, which grants the right to immigrate to Israel and leads to permanent residency and, eventually, citizenship.
