Why you can trust iVisa

iVisa is a private travel document service, founded in 2013. Our platform and app simplify the most confusing parts of international travel: knowing which documents you need, navigating each country's application process, checking your application for accuracy and completeness, and making sure it's submitted on time.

Below, you'll find the details behind that — our company, our policies, and how we calculate the numbers we stand behind. All in one place.

About iVisa

iVisa was founded in 2013 and has operated continuously since, and remains privately held as part of HelloGov AI, Inc. Our founders, David and Sergio, started the company after going through a confusing, drawn-out visa application themselves — and decided there had to be a better way.

Since then, the team has grown to 300+ people across more than 15 countries, including the United States, Spain, Peru, and India.

In July 2026, iVisa merged with HelloGov AI, Inc. The two companies came together as equals, with HelloGov AI, Inc. continuing as the parent company and iVisa operating as its subsidiary. Together we bring iVisa's global travel document platform and HelloGov's U.S. government-facing expertise under one roof.

Legal information

“iVisa” is our brand name and ivisa.com is our website. “Document Advisor, Inc.” is the legal entity registered to operate it worldwide — the same way many companies operate under a public name that differs from their incorporated one. Document Advisor, Inc. is a subsidiary of HelloGov AI, Inc., which is registered with the U.S. Department of State.

We also operate the official iVisa app, available on iOS and Android and downloaded more than 1.9 million times. Like every other iVisa product and webpage, it shows our logo and states that it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or claiming to be any official government entity or embassy.

iVisa's legal mailing address, IATA accreditation number, and company contacts are listed publicly on our About Us page.

iVisa by the numbers

A quick look at the scale of what we do, what we claim in our messaging, and how each number is verified.

2.6M+

Travelers served

How we count thisCounted as unique applicants across every order since iVisa was founded. This figure was last set in January 2026 and is intentionally conservative — we round down and hold it steady, so if you see it higher later, that's more customers, not a correction.

99%

Applicant approval rate

How we count thisCompleted iVisa orders divided by completed plus rejected orders — the share of known government outcomes that ended in approval. Rounded to the nearest full point, recalculated annually. An internal measure, not an official government statistic.

60,000+

Positive Trustpilot reviews

How we count thisReviews live on Trustpilot, a neutral third-party platform we don't control or moderate. Our count reflects the total share of 4- and 5-star ratings and grows as customers leave feedback. We don't solicit or incentivize reviews — we just reply to them, including the critical ones.

~2,000+

Approved documents / day

How we count thisAn average drawn from fulfillment volume: total approved documents delivered over a trailing period, divided by days. It moves with demand and is refreshed periodically rather than fixed once.

How iVisa pricing works

Pricing is one of the biggest drivers of confusion, so this section exists to remove the guesswork before you ever reach checkout.

Two separate charges, every time

Every iVisa application has up to two pricing components:

Government fee

Set entirely by the destination country. Sometimes it's $0.

iVisa service fee

Covers the guided application experience — simplified forms and processes, document and photo checks, expert review before submission, and 24/7 support.

Three processing speeds

Priced by how soon we review your application, not by how fast the government works.

  1. Standard

The most affordable option, for travelers applying with typical lead time.

  2. Rush

Faster internal review and submission for tighter timelines.

  3. Super Rush

Our fastest internal turnaround, for last-minute travel.

Rush and Super Rush move you to the front of our internal review queue — same thoroughness, just sooner. They don't make the government process your application faster. The government's own processing time is set by the government, not by us, and no speed tier changes that.

Our refund policy

Plans change, so we offer refunds under a published, stage-based policy. Applications not yet reviewed qualify for a full refund. Applications already under review qualify for a partial refund.

Applications already submitted to the government are not eligible — at that point the non-refundable government fee has been paid and the service delivered.

Sponsored content & marketing disclosure

We work with media partners, creators, and travel sites to help more people find accurate visa information. When that relationship involves payment, we say so.

What we don't do

  • Pay for reviews on Trustpilot, Google, or any other independent review platform — or ask for reviews in exchange for discounts or perks.
  • Present affiliate or partner content as independent editorial without disclosure.
  • Use fabricated urgency — fake countdown timers or fake “X people are viewing this” claims — to pressure a purchase decision.

What we do

  • Distinguish clearly between our own marketing (social, ads, our blog, our emails) and independent third-party coverage, in line with FTC guidelines and the disclosure rules of every region we operate in.
  • Label paid third-party content — “sponsored,” “in partnership with iVisa,” “#ad,” or “paid partnership.” If a piece doesn't carry that label, it wasn't paid for or directed by us.
  • Make affiliate links recognizable: a base ivisa.com URL, an affiliate ID, and tracking parameters that credit the partner for the referral.

If you're ever unsure whether something is sponsored, our team can confirm it.

Is iVisa safe? How we protect your data

You're trusting us with your personal information. Here's how we honor and protect that trust.

We collect only what's needed

Your travel document details, contact information, and order history — kept for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, or until you ask us to delete or modify it.

All transactions are encrypted, and we do not store your payment information. Payment details are handled securely by our industry-leading, PCI-compliant payment processing partners.

We safeguard what we hold

Your data is encrypted in transit and when held on our servers, with access given only to those needed to process your order and any customer service requests.

Our systems are held to cybersecurity best practices across every product and server lifecycle.

You stay in control

Update or delete your profile, manage cookie preferences, or opt out of marketing emails from your account settings or the links in our communications. Available rights vary by region, and we may still send essential transactional updates (such as visa status).

For full, region-specific detail on your rights, see our Privacy Policy.

We're held to outside standards

As part of HelloGov AI, Inc., how we handle your personal information is subject to U.S. Department of State review under its PII compliance requirements.

HelloGov AI, Inc. is also SOC 2 compliant — an independent audit of how customer data is secured, kept available, and kept confidential.

How iVisa uses AI

iVisa is AI-supported, not AI-led.

Where AI supports your application

  • AI flags document-quality issuesBefore anything is submitted, AI catches things like blurry photos and mismatched names. Select automated products also run through built-in validation checks.
  • A person reviews most applicationsFor most travel documents, a member of our team checks the application before it's submitted to the government.
  • People own the requirements and edge casesActual visa and entry requirements, nationality-specific rules, and the tricky cases sit with our specialists — experience AI can't and won't replace.

Where AI supports our team

We use AI to make internal workflows leaner — for example:

  • Supporting market research and early creative brainstorming.
  • Helping draft and polish messaging and written communications.
  • Assisting with analysis and summarization of select data sets for internal reporting.
  • Streamlining how we document and improve internal processes.

Frequently asked questions

The questions people search before trusting us with a passport — answered in plain language.

Is iVisa legit?

Yes. iVisa has been simplifying travel document applications since 2013 and has served over 2.6 million travelers with a 99% document approval rate. The company is accredited by IATA — number 23716873, verifiable on the official IATA code checker — and is listed on the Inc. 5000 (2025) and the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (2025).

Is iVisa a scam?

No. iVisa is a private company, and we are always upfront about that. We charge a clearly disclosed service fee on top of any government fee, and submit every application through official channels on behalf of the applicant.

Depending on the destination, you can verify your document's status or validity on the official government portal using the reference number on your document or your passport number.

Millions of customers choose iVisa over applying directly — for the convenience, the peace of mind of an extra review, the ability to handle group applications, more flexible payment options, and to avoid glitchy government websites.

Is iVisa affiliated with the government?

No. iVisa is an independent travel document service, not a government agency or embassy. We make sure every application meets official requirements before submission, and in some cases work with accredited, government-authorized visa agents and licensed local service providers.

We submit applications through the correct official channels. We don't issue visas on behalf of governments or influence their decisions — we help travelers submit an error-free, complete application to minimize the risk of rejection.

Why does iVisa charge a fee for documents that are free from the government?

When a government document carries no fee — as with many immigration or arrival cards — our service fee covers the guided experience around it: simplified forms, expert review, error-checking, multilingual support, multiple payment methods, and accurate delivery estimates.

The document may be free; the time and risk of getting it wrong on your own aren't. If you're comfortable with the official process, applying directly is always possible, and we never discourage anyone from doing so.

What happens if my visa application is rejected?

Our expert review is built to catch errors before submission, and 99% of applicants through iVisa are approved (see “By the numbers” above for how that's calculated). If a government does reject an application, our standard policy doesn't include a refund, since the government fee has already been paid and the service delivered — governments do not refund visa fees.

However, if you added the optional iVisa Denial Protection (available on a select number of travel documents), you'll receive an automatic refund in that case.

Can I get a refund from iVisa?

Refund eligibility depends on how far your application has progressed. For eVisas, applications not yet reviewed qualify for a 100% refund, applications under review qualify for a partial refund of the iVisa processing fee, and applications already submitted to the government are generally not eligible.

Embassy visas and passport renewals follow a similar staged policy. See the full iVisa refund policy for exceptions by destination and application stage.
