Thai visa policy for American citizens

US citizens don't need a visa for short trips to Thailand. They are currently visa-exempt for stays of up to 60 days. Even though a visa is not required, all US travelers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering Thailand.

iVisa offers one Thailand entry document for US travelers:

  • Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): A mandatory online arrival declaration that US citizens must submit within 3 days before arrival. Travelers must present the TDAC on entry as part of Thailand's immigration requirements.

General Thailand entry requirements for US travelers are:

  • US passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Completed Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
  • Proof of onward or return travel
  • Evidence of sufficient funds
  • Other supporting documents depending on purpose or situation
