The Seychelles Travel Authorization is a mandatory entry requirement for all travelers, even for those already holding a valid visa. It is not a visa itself but must be presented upon arrival. Each authorization is valid for a single entry, with the permitted stay matching the validity of your visa or passport.
Once you leave Seychelles, a new authorization must be completed before returning, and it cannot be extended.
The Seychelles visa policy allows most foreign nationals to enter without a visa. Instead, travelers must obtain a Visitor’s Permit upon arrival, provided they meet the entry requirements. These include holding a valid passport, a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and sufficient funds for their stay.
The initial Visitor’s Permit is typically valid for up to three months. Still, it can be extended for additional periods, up to a maximum stay of twelve months, subject to approval by Seychelles immigration authorities.
All travelers to Seychelles, including those eligible for the Visitor’s Permit, must apply for a digital Travel Authorization before entering the country. This pre-travel clearance process involves submitting personal information, travel details, proof of accommodation, and return travel bookings. Depending on their country of origin, some travelers may also be required to present a yellow fever vaccination certificate.
Seychelles does not currently offer other types of visas for short-term visits, such as separate tourist, business, or transit visas. However, those intending to work, reside, or study in Seychelles must apply for the appropriate long-term permit, such as a Gainful Occupation Permit, Residence Permit, or Student Permit, before arrival. These permits have distinct eligibility requirements and application processes that must be followed through the Seychelles Department of Immigration.
Applying for a visa on your own can be confusing and time-consuming. iVisa simplifies the process, reduces errors, and gives you peace of mind
