General Sri Lanka entry requirements for Swiss travelers are: Swiss passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended departure date; Confirmed return or onward flight ticket; Evidence of sufficient financial funds for the duration of the stay; Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or host address); Other supporting documents, depending on purpose/situation (e.g., business invitation letter).

It’s strongly recommended to secure your ETA at least three days before your trip.

How long is the tourist ETA valid, and can it be extended? The standard tourist ETA is valid for 30 days and allows for double entry within that period. If you wish to stay longer, you must apply for an extension at the Department of Immigration and Emigration in Colombo.
