Saudi Arabia will begin issuing Hajj visas for the 2026 pilgrimage season (1447 AH) on Sunday, February 8, 2026, four months ahead of the rituals. According to Saudi Gazette, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the early launch as part of efforts to enhance service readiness and ensure pilgrim comfort, in alignment with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Registration and preparations underway
The ministry confirmed that 750,000 pilgrims have already registered, with packages booked for 30,000 pilgrims directly from their home countries through the Nusk platform.
Service contracts covering 100 percent of facilities at the holy sites for international pilgrims have been finalized, along with all accommodation contracts in Makkah. Approximately 485 camps have been allocated for international pilgrims, and 73 Hajj affairs offices have completed their basic contractual arrangements.
Coordination continues with Hajj affairs offices and service providers both within Saudi Arabia and abroad.
Why Saudi Arabia is launching visa issuance early
The early visa issuance reflects a proactive approach to Hajj planning, aiming to create a more organized experience and improve service efficiency for millions of pilgrims worldwide.
The initiative is part of broader organizational and technical measures, including the completion of service contracts, approval of accommodation and transportation agreements, and camp preparation to ensure smooth operations throughout the season.
