How to complete your Honduras Pre-Check Application with iVisa
Start by filling out our simplified application form and paying the iVisa service fee through our secure portal. You can pause and return anytime if you need a break. Most travelers complete the entire application in less than 20 minutes.
The Honduras Pre-Check Application is our most popular travel document. Apart from completing this form, most nationalities can enter the country without a visa for tourism or business purposes for stays of up to 90 days. However, some nationalities do require a visa, and if staying longer than 90 days, a visa is generally needed.
Every application gets a full review by one of our visa experts. We check for errors and missing information. If something needs attention, we’ll let you know before we submit it to the Honduran government.
We’re not the Honduran government. We’re a private visa service provider that makes it easier for our customers to apply for travel documents. Once everything is complete, we will submit your application to the Honduran authorities for processing.
While your application is being processed, we stay in touch and help you respond to any updates or additional requests.
Once your application is approved, we’ll notify you right away. Your travel document will be sent directly to your email.
💡Pro tip: If you plan to visit Copán Ruinas or rural parts of Honduras, download offline maps using apps like Maps.me before your trip. Mobile coverage can be unreliable in remote areas, and having offline navigation can save you from getting lost or burning through expensive mobile data.
The Honduras Pre-Check Application is a pre-arrival declaration for non-Honduran travelers visiting the country by air, land, or sea. With this form, you can:
⚠️ The Pre-Check Application does not replace a visa. If your nationality requires a visa for entry, you must still obtain one separately before traveling to Honduras.
The Application is valid for a single entry and can be submitted within 72 hours before arriving in the country.
Honduras’ visa policy depends on nationality, purpose of visit, and length of stay. Many travelers enter visa free, while others must secure a visa in advance from a consulate.
Citizens of about 84 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, Australia, and Japan, can visit without a visa for up to 90 days. These travelers are covered by the Central America-4 (CA-4) Agreement, which allows travel across Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua for a combined maximum of 90 days.
Nationals outside this group must apply in person at a Honduran consulate. Honduras does not offer e-visas or visas on arrival. Standard visas usually allow stays of up to 90 days, but validity and number of entries are set by the consulate.
For residency, retirement, investment, or employment, applicants must apply through the National Institute of Migration. These programs require extensive documentation and involve both embassy and in-country processing.
All travelers must hold a passport valid for three months beyond their stay with blank pages for entry stamps. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if arriving from risk areas. Travelers under 21 need notarized parental consent when traveling alone or with one parent.
Overstays incur daily fines. Extensions may be possible if applied for in advance. Entry rules are stable, but travelers should confirm details with the nearest Honduran consulate before departure.
Applying for a visa on your own can be confusing and time-consuming. iVisa simplifies the process, reduces errors, and gives you peace of mind
