Seychelles Travel Authorization

Purpose: The Seychelles Travel Authorization is a mandatory electronic permit required for all foreign nationals entering Seychelles, regardless of nationality. It replaces the traditional paper immigration forms.

When to apply: Applications can be submitted up to 30 days before arrival, and it must be completed before arrival. With iVisa, you can apply even earlier.

Ports of entry: The Travel Authorization is required for entry through all official ports, including air (e.g., Seychelles International Airport) and sea (cruise or private yacht) arrivals.

Delivery format: Once approved, the Travel Authorization confirmation with a QR code is sent electronically via email. Travelers must present this confirmation — either printed or digital — along with a valid passport at immigration control upon arrival in the Seychelles.

All visitors to the Seychelles are issued a Visitor’s Permit on arrival for a stay of up to 3 months. Seychelles operates a visa-free policy for nearly all nationalities. You don't need to apply for a visa in advance.

However, all travelers must obtain a Seychelles Travel Authorization (TA) before departure and present the confirmation upon arrival.

General Seychelles entry requirements are:

  • Valid passport for the duration of the intended stay (six months validity recommended)
  • Completed Seychelles Travel Authorization
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket}
  • Confirmed accommodation details for the duration of stay
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate (only if arriving from an endemic country)
