Where can I get a Cuba visa in the US?

Your trip to Cuba entails getting a visa first. Except for the citizens of visa-exempt countries, all travelers need a visa to cross the Cuban border, and US nationals make no exception. You can get the Cuba visa in the US using one of the multiple available ways. You can visit the nearest Cuban embassy, and you can get one at the airport when you leave (just keep in mind that not all airlines can help you with that). The travel agency you travel with can get you the document as well, or you can use an online service and get the Cuba Tourist Card online.

Fill me in

The first method implies a trip to a Cuban embassy. You can find them in every state, but you need to go there personally. Before you go, we recommend that you give them a call and ask about the requirements, just to make sure that you leave with everything you need. Overall, you need a valid passport that maintains its status as valid for at least another 6 months from your date of arrival in Cuba. Once you get there, you need to fill in an application form, and the diplomatic mission will issue the visa according to their available processing time.

The second method of getting a Cuba visa in the US is to purchase one at the airline you are traveling with. However, not all of them have this facility, and you need to do some research first. Surely they have an official website, but if you cannot find the information you need, just give them a call, and they will let you know.

Thirdly, some travel agencies across the US include in their packages the option of applying for a Cuba Tourist card for you. The only downside to this method is that not all people visit Cuba through travel agencies. Some prefer to handle the itinerary on themselves. It saves some cash. And it is not like you can use a travel agency just for the purpose of requesting a Cuba Tourist card. It only comes as a part of a package.

The last one, and most people’s favorite is the electronic visa system. While you cannot apply online for a visa per se, you can apply for a Cuba Tourist Card, which for US citizens is pretty much the same thing. Services such as iVisa can help you get your Tourist card in as little as one business day, for a fee, of course. However, the reason why people appreciate iVisa, and why the service has a 9.5 stars out of 10 rating on TrustPilot, is that your effort is minimal, you can apply at any hour in the day or night (bye-bye business hours!), and it only takes about 10 minutes for you to fill in the application form. Furthermore, if you experience any difficulties, iVisa has a fantastic support service that is available to answer your questions 24/7. Analyzing all four options, iVisa is by far the best method you can use to get a Cuba visa in the US. Anywhere else as well, for that matter. You do not even have to get out of the house, it is affordable, and you get what you need. It cannot get any better than that, can it?
