Why Register with the Embassy
Travel Registration is a service provided by the government. This service allows you to record information about your upcoming trip abroad to the Department of State so it can be used to assist you in case of an emergency. People residing abroad can also get routine information from their nearest embassy or consulate if registered.
Required Information to Apply
Once You Have Registered With Your Embassy Or Consulate, You Will Need To Update Your Data If:
- your contact details change,
- your civil status changes,
- you are going back to your home country.

What you need to know

EVUS is an electronic visa update system implemented by USA, this is not a visa.

EVUS is mandatory for people who hold a People’s Republic of China valid passport and have been granted a 10-year USA B1/B2 visa.

Travelers must have a passport with at least 6-months validity from the date of arrival and a valid B1/B2 USA visa.

EVUS allows applicants Multiple Entry in United States of America and visitor can remain in the country for up to 90 days Per Entry.

Possession of an EVUS does not provide automatic right of entry for the holder into USA. The Immigration Officer at the port of entry may refuse entry to any person, if he considers that such a person is unable to fulfill the immigration requirements or that such person's presence in United States would be contrary to national interests or security.
THE UNITED STATES IS OPEN: The USA re-opened for tourism on 8 November 2021.
Since November 2016, citizens of the Republic of China planning to travel to the United States must update their data in the Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS) at least one week before entering the country.

What can I do if my United States EVUS application has been canceled or rejected?

What types of questions are asked on the EVUS form?
Each EVUS enrollment requires the traveler to provide their name, date of birth, emergency contact, passport, and biographical and employment information. Travelers will also answer questions related to travel eligibility.
What if I forget to enroll in EVUS until I get to the airport? Will I miss my flight?
Travelers can enroll in EVUS at any time, including at the airport. However, responses may take up to 72 hours, so you could miss your flight if you forget to enroll before arriving at the airport. Don't delay – enroll now!
I just received a 10-year B1/B2 visa a few months ago. Will I need to obtain a new visa after enrolling in EVUS?
No, your visa remains valid. Enrollment in EVUS is separate from the visa application process.
Should I re-enroll in EVUS if I receive an “Unsuccessful Enrollment” message?
An unsuccessful enrollment may be due to an administrative error, such as failure to provide complete information on the EVUS form. Our iVisa experts review all visa applications and documents for mistakes before submitting them to US visa officials to help you avoid rejections. If government officials find errors and reject your application, iVisa will refund your iVisa processing fee.

I have a one-year U.S. visa. Do I need to update my information and pay for EVUS? Is EVUS only for people with a 10-year U.S. visa?
EVUS only applies to holders of 10-year B1/B2, B1, or B2 visas. If you are a passport holder from the People's Republic of China, but your visa is only valid for one year, you do not have to enroll in EVUS.
