United States ESTA
Purpose: ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) allows eligible travelers from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries to travel to the United States for tourism, business, or transit purposes without obtaining a visa.
When to apply: Travelers must apply online at least 72 hours before departure.
Duration and extensions An approved ESTA is generally valid for 2 years (or until the passport expires, whichever comes first) and allows stays of up to 90 days per visit. ESTA stays cannot be extended.
Entries: The ESTA allows multiple entries to the United States during its validity period, provided each stay does not exceed 90 days.
Ports of entry: ESTA travelers may enter the United States through any official port of entry by air or sea. ESTA is not valid for entry by land without additional requirements at U.S. land border crossings.
Delivery format: Once approved, ESTA authorization is issued electronically and linked to the traveler’s passport. No physical document is required, but travelers are advised to keep a copy of their approval confirmation.
United States World Cup Visa (B1/B2)
Purpose: The U.S. World Cup Visa is a B1/B2 Visitor Visa intended for travelers attending FIFA World Cup matches and related events in the United States. It permits tourism, attending games, and limited business activities.
When to apply: Due to high demand during major sporting events, it is strongly recommended to apply several months in advance. For the FIFA World Cup, the government implemented the FIFA PASS, which means priority or expedited appointment assistance for game ticket holders.
Duration and extensions The B1/B2 visa is typically valid for up to 10 years (depending on nationality and reciprocity agreements). Each stay in the United States is generally permitted for up to 6 months. Extensions are not possible.
Entries: The United States B1/B2 visa is commonly issued as a multiple-entry visa, allowing travelers to enter the United States multiple times during the visa’s validity period.
Delivery format: Once approved, the visa is issued as a visa sticker placed inside the applicant’s passport.
US B1/B2 Visa
Purpose: The U.S. B1/B2 Visa is a non-immigrant visa issued to foreign nationals traveling to the United States temporarily for business (B1), tourism (B2), or a combination of both purposes. Permitted activities include attending business meetings or conferences (B1), tourism, visiting family or friends, and receiving medical treatment (B2).
When to apply: It is recommended to apply several weeks or months in advance, as appointment availability and processing times vary by location.
Duration and extensions The B1/B2 visa is typically issued with a validity period of up to 10 years (depending on nationality and reciprocity agreements) and allows stays of up to 6 months per entry. Extensions are not possible.
Entries: The B1/B2 visa allows travelers to enter the United States multiple times during the visa’s validity period.
Delivery format: Once approved, the B1/B2 visa is placed as a visa sticker inside the applicant’s passport. Travelers must carry a passport containing a valid visa when traveling to the United States.
United States EVUS*
The EVUS is specifically for Chinese citizens already holding a 10-year B1/B2 visa for the United States, to keep their information in the U.S. government system updated.
You must update your details every two years as a Chinese citizen using EVUS.

United States Visa Láser (BCC)*
The Visa Láser, or Border Crossing Card (BCC), is for Mexican citizens making regular short trips to U.S. - Mexico border areas, combining business and tourism.
It allows multiple entries of up to 30 days per entry and is valid for 10 years after issued. Mexican citizens wanting to apply for this visa, must show clear ties to Mexico and their intent to return, like family, assets, work, or other commitments.

United States Transit C-1 Visa*
The United States Transit (C-1) Visa is for visa-required travelers passing through the U.S. on their way to another country.
It allows you to stop in the U.S. for a short time, usually just long enough to catch your connecting flight. You can’t leave the airport for tourism, but it’s essential if your nationality requires a visa to transit through the U.S.
