- This is an embassy visa. It is a sticker placed in your passport, and it requires an in-person appointment at a consulate or a visa service center to give biometric data. If you gave fingerprints for a Schengen visa recently enough, they can be retrieved from the Visa Information System and you may not need to give them again.

- The government fee is paid at your biometric appointment, and a visa service center such as VFS, TLS or BLS may add its own charge. There is no age exemption. Every child including an infant needs their own application and their own sticker, signed by both parents or guardians, with a birth certificate and notarized consent when a child travels alone or with only one parent.

What is the difference between a Schengen Visa and ETIAS?
The Schengen Visa is for travelers who are not visa-exempt. The ETIAS (launching late 2026) is a digital travel authorization for citizens of visa-exempt countries (like the US, UK, and Canada). If you currently need a visa to enter Lithuania, you will continue to need a Schengen Visa.
