Can I extend my stay in Lithuania?

You can generally only extend your visa in cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters or flight cancellations), humanitarian reasons, or serious personal reasons that prevent you from leaving. Do children/minors need a Lithuania Schengen Visa?
Yes. Every traveler, including infants and minors, requires their own visa. For minors, the application must be signed by both parents/legal guardians, and a birth certificate must be provided along with a notarized travel consent form if the child is traveling alone or with only one parent.
What is the difference between a Schengen Visa and ETIAS?
The Schengen Visa is for travelers who are not visa-exempt. The ETIAS (launching late 2026) is a digital travel authorization for citizens of visa-exempt countries (like the US, UK, and Canada). If you currently need a visa to enter Lithuania, you will continue to need a Schengen Visa.
